Tell us all about your trip when back 😄Hi moving forwards, thank you. It seems that I am haivng problems with my teeth, but actaully it seems I also have nerve pain in my face/head/teeth ~ trigeminal neuralgia and it has been horrendous while I was away. Although over the last 3 days it has been much better.I need to make a gp app and also go back to the dentist! The holiday was lovely, bit mared by being in pain. But the sun was lovely and hot and the villa had a pool and we were near the beach, so it was good x♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

So things im reaslising as this saving journey continues....I love posting up when things are going well. Tend to want to hide when its not!!!I need to make more money! Its looking like DD will go down the home ed route to try and get her GCSEs. this is great, but of course the cost of all of it falls on us. So we will need to pay for the tutoring for each subject for the year and each exam. Ive yet to see how much each exam cost, not sure if its per paper of per subject, i suspect it will be around £100 per paper eekkk!I havent deleved too far down this route as I wasnt really expecting that she would be able to cope with the study classes. But yesterday she walked in and did it. I was so pleased. Lets hope today works out as well. The home ed centre is amazing and we are very lucky there is one locally. We all still need to completetly set out how we will pay for DS1 and uni. This is just around the corner now eek!DS2 is completetly on track to work this year, he has got himself 2 jobs and should earn enough to pay for all the top up the first year and a fair bit to spare. He is going to give us rent £50 a week (this will be placed in a seperate savings pot (uni pot 2!!!) and will go back to him when he starts uni. So pleased he is on the ball and wanting to earn money and save and sort his life out. DS1 seems to be just about coasting along without a clue for the real world. It amazes me how different these 2 are.I need to NOT dip into certain pots (EF fund and even more annoyingly i dipped into the tax pot which I really cant afford to do. This was yesterday to pay some of the home ed centre fees ~ I need a plan for this pronto as its going to be significant (like over £2000)I need a more open dialogue about money with OH. He's on board to save money and to pay off the mortgage in theory and he does OP the mortgage every month. But there are many many more opportunites we could seize especailly the smaller amount which all add up. ~ this is work in progress!!♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

So ive been staring at my sealed pot a lot recently. Havent added barely a thing to it since I started the 52 week envelope challenge (late) in May. JUst now I caved and opened it and counted it up. I got as far as the 10ps and there was £175 in there. So been mulling it over. I've taken out £100 to replace the money taken out for the 18th birthday pressie and the rest if going in the envelope challenge. I unfortuately over stretched myself trying to do too many challenges!!!! But I will complete the xmas 1p a day challenge and I will still aim for the 52 week envelope stuffing challenge! Will stuff a couple of envelope later!♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

I was very over enthusiastic at following along with challenges (even when I wasn't posting on here) so I feel your pain at over committing! Sounds like a very sensible solution to pilfer the sealed pot to top up the others. Whatever works
Sounds like you have a lot on your plate, but I'm sure you'll get your plans all sorted soon enough. I'm of the firm belief that everything, even planning, looks a bit of a muddle until suddenly it's done! Good luck

aahh thank you @[Deleted User] (which incidently is just how I like my coffee!!!
)
I do feel better for organising the money, it was frustrating me that i keep walking past the sealed pot and not putting anything in it! Now Ive tucked it away!!I will have to have a careful think of what i sign up in in Jan!!! I do like to get involved and it defiently keeps the motivation up!

I will have to count up.
EF/ tax pot / xmas saving challenge / Car /my health / uni fund 1 / uni fund 2 / envelope stuffing challenge. /mortgage OP Pot (this is atemp holding place for PA earnings until i have reached at figure)
I make that 9 🤩
OH handles most of the house bits and he has a couples of extra pots (my obession is having an effect on him!!)
I am so much better at saving with seperate pots. Splitting things up was the best thing I did!
Reasons for savings, as I wasn't organised enough and flitting too much money away. There is still much work to do on this front. But it's definetely improved with this improved focus.
I def want to work on the mortgage but don't have any spare, so that's where the PA money is coming from.
Thanks for asking it's good to think it through

So DD has been out of school for a very long time. We have tried many different things, but she's been wanting to go back to school for years and county have been horrendous, delay delay delay, excuse excuse excuse! . We have to go to tribunal to overturn a decision and the waiting times for educational tribunals are over 12 months.😥😥 That's a very long time for a child waiting for a school place. Dd desperately wants to be like her peers and have the chance to take some gcses and go to college to do a levels. So (very) long story short, we have found a home ed centre locally and she's signed up for 5 gcses well actuslly 6, but will drop one when she's tried them all! And this is the first week. Im so proud of her she's gone in and done it. I hoped and prayed she could, but thought it might be too much. Now we have to hope that she can keep going in and get on with all the work involved which is a lot. 😳
But if course all this comes at quite a cost and my time driving and waiting for her.
I haven't added it all up yet. I need to wait until we have the final list of subjects. Plus i need to know the costs for sitting all the exams. I didn't look to far ahead as I didn't want to get ahead of myself if it didn't work out.
I really hope the dla application is successful as it will help towards the costs.
Anyway I ordered the classical civilisation gcse text book (£21.99😳) had a moment when I flicked through it. It is massive!! . But ive checked and they only do 2 sections out of the 4 in the book, phew!!! I thought the amount of text in the book might scare her, but she's cool with it. Her attitude is great. Long may it last 😎😎😎♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025
