Monthly budget is good, if you've a little spare in overall funds have a bit more as socialising may increase this month.

Glad you've been resting and DF is fantastic, he's probably having a great time doing these changes to your home.

    Enjoy your mini break 😊

  • Thanks SQS and MF 😊

Had a lovely weekend. Lots of snow when I arrived and a bit more while I was there but all gone with the rain this morning and it has warmed up a bit.

Total spends £33.54 petrol to fill the tank. Used about half and what is left should last until the end of December. Lunch out with sister £19.47. On my way home I bought Milk plus chicken for lunch and dinner £8.05.

Aquafit and Dinner at DF’s tomorrow, funeral on Wednesday, out with friends for lunch plus Christmas shopping on Friday. I have £150 already in my budget for entertainment this month.

You're sounding very refreshed and have a good fun budget for this month.

Hope the funeral goes as well as can be x

  • I have done a few online car insurance comparisons and am not finding anything cheaper for the same cover. I phoned my current provider but could not haggle them down. The only difference was to change from social domestic and pleasure plus commuting to social domestic and pleasure only. Reduced by £4 😕

Blumin heck SYA - they are playing hardball! I ended up with DL who aren’t on comparison sites as per their adverts - but I rang exactly in the sweet spot that Martin says (26 days prior to renewal date)

That's not much of a saving! Do you have breakdown cover included as standalone cover may be cheaper.

Thanks for the hugs SQS I definitely needed them x

Shopping trip was lovely. Had a nice lunch at peri peri chicken place & free refill drink. Got most of my Xmas pressies after, some at half price and another book of 2nd class stamps, all paid from Xmas & birthday pot. Meal from entertainment fund. £17.99. Went back to friends house for a cuppa after.

I have come to realise that I hate writing Christmas cards (only managed 2 the other day) and wrapping presents 🤦‍♀️

Plans for the weekend are to write & post all cards, wrap all presents and put up my tree 🎄

DF is coming round tomorrow to help me fix foil behind my radiators on external walls and adjust front door to stop draughts. Bought from amaxon £16.99 & will hopefully reflect the heating back into the room. I hate to think what my gas bill will be this month but it has been freezing 🥶
