  • Stamps have got a bit pricey. I purchased a book of them the other month as we send a few cards out each year.

Can you switch to browser view, see if you're able to access the calculator that way?

Food sounds delicious, can't beat cold roasties!

Enjoy your pamper and catch up tomorrow 😀

  • Another cold roasties fan here.
I prefer my main meal at lunchtime  :)

  • Lovely sunny morning here. Got one load of washing dried by lunch time. After lunch I had my hair cut at the local hairdressers. Then walked to my friends mums house to check she was ok. Her arm has now had the pot removed but she is still in pain so I brought her washing in and folded it for her. Then it started to rain. Fortunately I had my brolly for the walk back. Friend is back from holiday on Sunday.

Tomorrow is aquafit in the morning. Then I will get some more fruit & broccoli using the asd@ app money & see if they have any liver for next week. I have taken 2 chicken breasts out of the freezer for tonight’s chicken fajitas & one extra portion will be frozen for next week. I plan to make a crustless quiche with the broccoli and I already have eggs, onions & cheese.

Same hairstyle MF, just a cut back into shape. V pleased

Cold this morning despite the sun. Went to aqua fit, then asd@ for pears yellow sticker down from 99p to 55p plus broccoli, 8 cans p max, butternut squash and strawberries. Used the £2 off voucher from the app & total spend £5.53. I have £1 off voucher to use next time.

After lunch I made a crustless broccoli & cheese & onion quiche. Filled the oven with a tray of veg, courgettes, peppers, onions & butternut squash. Put the rest of the butternut squash in the slow cooker for soup.
Edit - Forgot to mention I cooked the broccoli in the microwave for 5 mins first in a pot with a lid and a splash of water.

    Heavy showers here now.

Off to DF’s for dinner tonight as my sister is coming over for the weekend. He is making spag Bol. He was reading an article by M Mosley which states if you boil spaghetti/ pasta and cool it overnight then warm it up next day it turns carbs into resistant starch and reduces the rise in glucose by 50% so he cooked the pasta last night! 😁

  • Great shop and the food you're eating now is so much better. You've had a total lifestyle change since moving.

    The quiche looks delicious!

    Never knew that about pasta.

  • Thanks MF & SQS 😊

Have had a lovely weekend. We had a chinese delivery on Saturday night and DF insisted on paying. Shared Salt & pepper ribs & I had chicken with ginger and spring onions 😋 Had been for a long walk in the afternoon with my sister while DF went to his allotment, so I was hungry and tired. Was a warm dry day, got towels dried outside.

Today has been windy and grey. It rained a little this morning when we took flowers for DM. Had a lovely lamb roast dinner at DF’s 😋

Hope you have had / are having a lovely time visiting your family SQS

Have just sent my gas & electric readings online so should get a bill in next few days

  • Sunny bright & breezy morning here today ☀️

One load of washing just finishing and will be hung out to dry.

My gas & electric bill has now been calculated and from 24 Aug to 23 Sept gas £15.68 electric £48.90 total £64.58. I have paid it on my credit card and will pay the cc in full when I “pay” myself at the end of September plus put £50 into my pot to put towards winter heating giving me £450 in the pot.

DF has given me carrots, leeks & parsnip from his allotment. I will call into asd@ tomorrow on the way home from aquafit and get a swede & stew beef and make a stew in my slow cooker 😋

No plans for today. Might potter in the garden and read my book.

Beef stew in slow cooker - sounds yum! 😋

Good surplus for your winter heating - although rates are dropping come October most reckon on an increase again come January.  Don’t know about you but I find it hard to keep up with the quarterly rate reviews.

Enjoy your book / garden pottering.  Sounds like a wonderful Monday 😊👍🏻
