  • Enjoyed aquafit. Picked up a hot roast chicken on the way home for 50p using £6 voucher on the app. 😊 Also now only one more purchase for another £5 off voucher. There is no minimum spend! Will pop in on Friday on the way home from aquafit.

Needed cash to pay for foot file from a von. The cashpoint near aquafit was out of order so after lunch I drove to Mr S who also have a cashpoint. Found a fancy mobile phone in the car park so handed it in and gave into temptation and bought some chocolate 🤦‍♀️ So back home and I made myself stomp up the hill & back again to hopefully stop sugar spike. 3 pieces = 7g carb / sugar. I had 6 pieces 🙄 Have put the rest of the bar in the bottom of my freezer 😆 2 weeks until hba1c don’t want to scupper it now!

I don’t reckon you wil have scuppered it SYA - it can be so hard to identify our times when we are subject to temptation.

Mine is when I’m sat at my desk typing away at work - mind is elsewhere and I just eat and eat like there is no bottom to me.

At least you’ve owned it - move forward don’t beat yourself up xx hugs

ps very kind of you to hand the phone in - they are lucky that a good person found it!  Well done you 👍🏻😊

  • We use our dehumidifier all year round as we can't guarantee enough heat to dry clothes off. I don't notice a real change will electric usage throughout the year.

Would you consider making a hot choc with the bar you don't like? It might be easy as throwing some choc in your milk and nuking them.

Food sounds yummy and I think crust less is literally nothing round the edge rather than no base too.

It seems like you're getting out and about more, which is always possible when W isn't using most of the awake hours.

    Thanks SQS and MF

Do you have your dehumidifier on 24/7 MF ? Or a set number of hours?  Took me a while to work out the last part. Is W meaning work? 🤔

I have made a totally pastry-free quiche before with bacon, eggs, onions and broccoli and cheese.  Must get on and make another.

Had a roast beef carvery for lunch. 3 small roast potatoes and lots of veg. £7.75 plus drink total £10. No yorkshire pud or stuffing has been consumed! 😉

Then went with friend to home bargains and bought a spray mop £7.99 for cleaning laminate flooring, plus laminate floor cleaning liquid £1.80, shampoo 95p, toothpaste 99p x 2.

Dinner tonight was Cajun chicken with roasted veg (previously batch cooked from the freezer), with natural yogurt and grated cheese, with chopped tomatoes from DF’s allotment.

    Dreaded dentist tomorrow

    Thanks SQS and dia

I went looking for the quiche recipe on my old thread and fell down a rabbit hole reading from July 21 up until finally finding and buying my new home & retiring. I can’t believe how stressed and unhappy I was. Leaving work was definitely the best choice for my mental and physical health.

Anyway, here is what I posted about the quiche …..
I cooked it in a Pyrex dish sprayed with 1 cal. Recipe was bbc food I just added broccoli instead of tomatoes, only 2 slices of bacon finely chopped & just used a sprinkle of dried mixed herbs instead of fresh herbs.  Cooking time 30 mins at 180

Had a nice day out yesterday despite a visit to my new dentist in the morning. 😉

Dentist was a nice chap, made me feel comfortable, checked my teeth AND gave me a scale & polish £25.80. My old dentist never gave me a scale & polish, instead said I had to pay to see hygienist. New dentist said I was 10/10 for teeth & gums 😇😁 Paid for from household bills pot.

We went to cost-a-lot for a pot of tea each £5.10 then went for a walk & ate a sandwich brought from home (roast chicken & mayo on low carb bread) before going to the cinema. Cheap but very good & comfy seats £11.98 for 2. Film was a bit violent in places with D Washington.

Then DF paid for curry night at weather spoons. Chicken curry, garlic Nan, 2 popadoms, rice & pint of diet drink each just over £15.

Today my leisure centre subscription has been paid by direct debit £32.50. Remaining in my current account £50.78 which should be £10 petrol and £40 food next week. I wonder if I will be able to change the date of my direct debit to 1st October. I prefer to pay all bills at the beginning of the month.
