  • Hello my lovely, I am catching up. I only use my dehumidifier in winter due to damp from condensation in bungalow. It is dear. Hope you are happy i think you are. hugs.ย
Aiming for a minimal spend 2022
  • Thanks dia SQS and SW

I am happy SW and itโ€™s such a relief not to have to work ๐Ÿ˜Š I do miss my friends, DS & his gf and puppy dog but I will see them again soon. Up here I have different friends, more family and as stress free a life as possible.ย

Today the blazing sun has not made an appearance and it is a bit cooler. We had a few spots of rain yesterday afternoon and lots of thunder. It was so hot I slept with the fan on. Today all the windows are open and there is a bit of a breeze. Itโ€™s still 25โ€™ in my living room

I made a beef curry in my slow cooker yesterday. Leftovers are portioned in the freezer. Today I am making butternut squash soup in the slow cooker.ย

Itโ€™s so humid isnโ€™t it SYA - just moving about feels like swimming.

Wish we would get some rain here it might cut this heat a bit. ย It rained for about 2 minutes earlier today and was thinking that was the beginning of the thunderstorms & 55mm rain they were on about for our area. ย But then sun popped back out & hotter than ever!

you are so good cooking in this heat - we have been on salads mainly this weekend although it was a bbq yday & sitting outside late into the evening. The house was radiating heat.

glad to hear about your stress free life - it sounds wonderful ๐Ÿฅฐ. ย Maybe you could check out joining one of these rock choirs that are popping up all over now. ย Apparently the social side is very good too.ย  My SiL joined her local rock choir and has made friends and found a new man ooh er!!ย

    Keep cool xx

  • Been very fortunate here. Quite a long spell of rain, the air has cleared and itโ€™s definitely cooler. Might try a short walk this afternoon.
You will definitely be paying less for your water now the meter has been fitted. I am in a large detached house. We probably use the showers 14 times a week, the dishwater daily, the washing machine several times a week plus obviously washing and using the toilet. During the summer probably about 15 to 20 watering cans a day, The DD is about ยฃ27 a month and that includes the standing charge and waste water as well as the water we use.

    Thanks SQS and @[Deleted User]

It rained most of the morning. In between showers I went to DFโ€™s for a cuppa. Brightened up a bit this afternoon but no sun.ย

Unfortunately SQS I am tone deaf and cannot sing. ๐Ÿ˜†ย

Soup for lunch and chicken fillets for dinner. DF brought me carrots from the allotment, so I made a huge pot of swede and carrot mash, plus he gave me green beans (dwarf French) and leeks so I also had them with the chicken and gravy.ย

Had a 30 minute walk this evening after another rain shower. Didnโ€™t water the garden today.ย

Made myself some keto cheese crisps tonight and they were yum ๐Ÿ˜‹ย

  • Went shopping this morning ยฃ35.55 spent in aldee. Lots of fresh fruit and veg, meat, no added sugar jellyโ€™s, 8 cans diet cola.ย

DF & niece came round for a visit and then I went to friends house just before it poured with rain. Didnโ€™t last long & had stopped when I walked home. Cooked some sausages in the oven and filled it with a tray of Cajun chicken fillets and a tray of Mediterranean veg. All leftovers portioned up and in the freezer.ย

Aquafit tomorrow morning. Out for lunch with my friend on Wednesday. Dentist on Thursday morning, then going to the cinema with DF and out for dinner after. Aquafit again on Friday.ย

Its raining and dark here this morningย

Refund has arrived in my bank account from the water company. I have transferred ยฃ40 into my gas and electric pot. Current pot balance ยฃ386. I would like to get to ยฃ500 before the heating goes on. Hopefully I should have ยฃ14 left in this months budget to get to ยฃ400. When I read my meters later this month I will pay the amount due on my credit card, balance currently 0. Then I will use part of next months budget amount (ยฃ110) to pay off the credit card in full and put the rest in the pot. I will also be paying at least ยฃ20 less on water now I have a water meter so I will put another ยฃ20 to gas & electric.ย

I am planning to buy a hot roast chicken after aquafit and hopefully use the ยฃ6 credit on my asd@ app. Should only cost me 50p ๐Ÿ˜
