Escape to the country & living off savings

Thanks Suze I appreciate the hug 🤗
I went & bought kfc for lunch. Not exactly healthy but hey ho. 😋 Went to my friends for a cuppa & chat then called in at dads & emptied the dehumidifiers.
I think the sadmin is now sorted as much as possible. I will go to the library tomorrow & do the last lot of photocopying. Then I can go through it all with my sister next week before we go to the solicitor.

SYa, I yearn for the days when you could nip down to the British gas shop/office where they would let you pay/query your bill, mind you I suppose in those days you couldn't choose a different tariff

I know what you mean. I too yearn for a human to query my bills with. And we wouldn't need to switch tariffs if we could get a decent service and fair prices from one supplier.

Sorry you have so much sadmin to get through SYA
The odd kfc won't hurt as you are usually so good with your diet

Thanks Tresinia & dia
Am having a bit of an anxious day. Phoned hmrc who tell me the pension company have still not sent the final figures correctly. So I phoned the pension company and made a complaint. I need to speak to pension payroll but they do not take calls. Will have to wait for the complaints process to complete. Whilst making a complaint also requested they address the reply to me & not dad like their previous email in January 🫤
Went & put petrol in the car, then into the library for photocopying, into as@ for milk and into chemist for repeat meds.
Off to my friends for a cuppa later & she has bought us carrot cake 😋

SSya "Pension payroll do not take calls" this just about sums up why we feel so anxious about everything. Faceless people processing our precious information, making us dependent on them while they blithely ignore us. And that's before they reveal their utter contempt by addressing correspondence to a deceased loved one. This happened to me to. And yes you can complain but for the lord's sake, who has the energy left to do it

I am sure we never had these problems years ago & often wonder if we just didn't realise "they" were getting our stuff wrong or if it is because we are now only ever talking to phone monkeys. Yes I know that is an insulting name but if they have no knowledge of what is going on & just fob you off then it is not inaccurate.

Agree with both of you. 😞 Have also hit a brick wall with the energy tariff with no answers from BG or mse ☹️
I have nothing planned for the next few days so I am going to try and relax, chill out and just potter about and read. Trying to arrange a get together with my sister and my niece & little lad for next week 🥰

Sorry to hear of all your frustrations SyA,
a few days of resting, relaxing and pottering will hopefully restore your energy and enthusiasm for dealing with the next bunch of incompetents!
I think that Covid/Lockdown gave many organisations the opportunity to reduce 'overheads' ie staff and they've never gone back to having a full complement of people to do jobs.
Wishing you some sunshine during the next few days.

That all sounds very anxiety making and I would be the same.
Correspondence addressed to your DF is one of those little triggers you do not need 😡
Hope you can relax and chill and not think about all the admin and sadmin for a bit.
Sending a hug.
