Glad to hear that you're feeling slightly better now and you're fully stocked so you can stay home and avoid weather.
Your budget is awesome, as always!

Thanks Arrietty 😊 Feeling brighter today.
Weather not as bad as forecast, no snow so far. Did a bit of sadmin now my mind is a bit clearer. Drove to local library to do some photocopying and it was shut! That’ll teach me to check before I set off. Stew in slow cooker smells lovely 😋 I didn’t realise how much I had lost my sense of taste and smell whilst poorly.
I’m trying to up my fibre intake and didn’t realise there is 2.1g in each 25g bar of 70% choc from aldee. That’s the sort of fibre I can cope with 😁

Grim outside today but so far no snow.
I’ve been looking at my energy fix which is due to end in April. I’ve looked at the new mse collective switch to BG (see this weeks mse email) with cashback and I should be paying about the same as now until the govt reduction in April, so I have completed the application to switch now. At least I know I will not be paying more (unless I use more obviously). There will be no exit fees as I am already with BG & if a cheaper tariff appears with them later I can switch again within BG without exit fees. Seems like a win-win 🤞

Miserable day. Cant believe it’s 6 months since dad passed away. It feels like only yesterday ❤️
Went to the library this morning before the rain & wind started. Got lots of photocopies done for free & they can’t take a donation as they are not able to deal with cash. I asked if it was ok to go back for more & they said no problem. I’ve sorted out more sadmin & about another 60 pages still to copy. Will probably leave it until next week. One form still to finish.
Im going to give aquafit a miss tomorrow. Will be glad when my friend gets back from her holiday, have really missed her this week. Little nephew is poorly again too so I’ve missed seeing them too.

I can't believe it's 6 months.
That's really good of the library.

Very miserable wet day yesterday. No snow though. I drove to the library just to get out of the house and did some more photocopying. Lots of rainwater flooding on the roads. The car park is right next to the library so I didn’t get too soaked. Had a chat with the friendly librarian, then called off and got a lunchtime special fish & chips, sausage and mushy peas 😋 £6.50. I got her to wrap the fish separately as it usually all comes on a tray & the peas make the batter soggy. 😝
Spent a couple of hours watching tv (bargain hunt, news, father brown) then did a bit of sadmin. Most of documents sorted & ready now for solicitor. Just final property form to finish.
Sun shining this morning ☀️ Forecast is rain all day. Need to get some washing done but may have to dry it indoors if the sun doesn’t last.
DS rang me last night and had a chat with him & his gf, plus my friend is back from her holiday & messaged last night & invited me round for a cuppa this afternoon, thankfully before I cracked up from lack of human interaction 😉
Hope you all have a lovely weekend

I love libraries
Great deal on the lunch
Drying indoors is all I have done for months
I can't believe it is six months already either…

Starting with belated hugs for Christmas and NY. Your budget looks fantastic and it was great seeing the "forensic comparison" since retiring.
The urge to move back to where DS is is normal. As is considering buying DF's property. Things do settle after a while. I'd advocate staying in your existing home and feel you want to buy the memories and spirit and would struggle to change anything.
Seems like you're getting on well with the AF; the cord is the fire risk as most people leave it tucked at the back and it gets really hot.
Are there any markets or farm shops you can visit? With summer approaching you could also look at pick your own and other local pop up events.
Take care of yourself, the last half year has been tough and your body is under a lot of stress.

Thanks dia & MF 😊
Very wet weekend. Managed a walk to my friends on Saturday. Did a bit of washing but had to dry it indoors with the heating and dehumidifier on. Dug out a jigsaw puzzle, haven’t done one for years. Only 500 pieces & about half done.
Out for brunch with my friend today at spoons & a mooch around the shops in nearby little high street. Not much there nowadays but still a small b n m, £ land, greengrocer, super drug, charity shops & a hardware store, little newsagents, couple of bakers, a gregs plus an independent cafe, estate agents, post office, fish market, bargain clothes shop, spec savers. It sounds more than it is, it’s very run down and some shops are boarded up, sadly like many high streets today and the thriving bustling market has long since closed.
