I was just trying to work out some figures. With my bonds and the cash coming from dads investments I would have enough to pay my sisters their share of the house until mine sold but not with the sdlt & ct on a second home.I am just going to let the sale proceed & take solicitors advice on what to put on forms & see what happens. Also no info known about structural alterations/ planning & mortgage company may not lend or surveyor may value less than offer so we shall see. The house is still standing after 50 years so it wouldn’t bother me & I would be a cash buyer.❤️Mum 2018

Hello SyA,
quite some news since I last popped in.
It's such a difficult thing when your parents home is no longer 'there' so I can imagine how you've been feellng. since the offer on your DF's house. After my Mother passed died, my Father stayed in the house for 16 years and although he did make some changes, the 'essence' of it was the same. Since he moved, he's been back to see what the new owners have done with it as he remains friends with neighbours.
I have never been back and never will because I like to retain the memories of how it looked.
I love burning paperwork too... unlikely to happen any time soon here though because it just rains and rains and rains...
Have a lovely day

Thanks Suze, Tresinia and Arrietty 😘
I am taking a little break from posting. Everything is ok but I just need to rest and get my head straight. The forecast is for rain all week with a bit of snow mixed in for good measure 🙄 and I just don’t have any energy to do anything. Back soon x❤️Mum 2018
