Escape to the country & living off savings

Sorry to hear about your friend Tresinia ❤️
I used to have something similar Time2count in my car along with foil blanket in case I ever got stranded but fortunately never used them. I think they are still in the glove compartment 🤔 I probably should sort out my emergency supplies 😬 I have torch, paracetamol, first aid kit, batteries in case of power cuts. Anything else?

Sya, you mean for the house or car? I keep bottled water and protein bars in the car and every winter, I put a large plastic spade and rock salt in my boot and leave it there till spring2

Thanks Tresinia ☺️ I don’t really drive in bad weather now I’m not working but always fill an empty bottle with water before I go. Twice I have really needed it. Once when I was stuck on the motorway when it was closed for hours on a hot summer day (in my old diary, on my way home down south after meeting Dad halfway during covid). The other time driving to my sisters my windscreen was covered in dust & my windscreen washer reserve ran out. Taught me to always top it up before I set off 😂
I have been thinking of getting a power bank for my phone in case we have a power cut. I will ask my b-in-law as he works with tech stuff.
Much warmer 15’ here this morning. I’m going to aldee later. My diary always seems a bit repetitive (boring) this time of year. I will try to buy something different to eat and liven up my meals 😉 I have lots of eggs so may also make a crustless quiche this week (eggs, bacon, onion, cheese, broccoli) and I may buy chorizo to have with scrambled eggs or in an omelette and with tray bake veggies (is chorizo too oily for the air fryer?)

Sya never think your diary is boring, it's a welcome part of my day! Always good to check in with what you're up to, no matter what. Humans don't want drama, but the soothing rhythm of constant voices x5

Hey SYA - re chorizo in airfryer - it depends on the form it will take in your meal. If you are using the whole sausage (and slicing after etc) then it would probably be fine. However if you slice them prior to then they would probably cook too fast. Our preferred method is to fry them off in a pan so we are able to remove the excess fat. One thing to note - that much fat coming off in an airfryer would be messy as well x

Thanks Tresinia and Suze 😊
I thought chorizo would be oily in the air fryer so will continue to fry in my little frying pan & drain.I’ve had cheese omelette for breakfast and have paid my house insurance renewal. I will still count that as a win down from £239 to £215. Hopefully next year I will be in a better mind space to look at other companies. I find the comparison sites don’t actually match so I end up having to go through each quote and adding or amending parts and then end up more or nearly the same as my renewal quote.I’ve also filed away the insurance paperwork and the instruction book for the air fryer & the new water bill so hopefully I will be able to find them easily when I need them!Next bill due is gas & electric this month & car tax in February❤️Mum 2018

Your diary is far from boring. There is something both calming and inspiring about your diary.
I cooked boiled potatoes, peas and turkey, feta and courgette meatballs in a tomato sauce. Lots of potatoes and a few spoons of peas left over. I have chorizo so I will make a frittata inspired by your food!If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

It’s still dark but warmer this morning 15.5’
I can’t decide whether to book aquafit this morning. 🤔 Other option is to potter around at home tidying and sorting then go up to dads for a check / dust round & open windows for fresh air before viewing tomorrow. Going to my friends for tea & cake this afternoon.Things I need to do over next few weeks at my house
1. sort out cupboard under stairs (stacked to ceiling)
2. Get rid of dads dining room chairs out of my bedroom
3. finish sorting pile of my paperwork
Sadmin is ongoing but mostly organised in folders on my dining room table.❤️Mum 2018
