Hope the sun shines for your lunch with friend today - 😊 can’t remember if you are with the tentacled energy provider but they have codes for 25% at H@rvester available on their app

Thanks Tresinia, dia, jwil & Suze ☺️ Had a lovely carvery & drink £13.55. Even better than the carvery on Sunday but you can’t book a table at the pub we went to today.

DF has been round for a cuppa and helped trim another bush in the garden. Green bin is full again now ready for collection.

Had a message from specs shop & new glasses are in so I rang & made an appointment to get them tomorrow 🤞

Pouring with rain today. Collected new glasses and a big improvement. Will need to give them a week to settle but there is no longer a halo fuzz around white writing on tv etc.

Popped round to DF’s between showers to help him check his gas & electric bills and had a cuppa. No plans for the rest of the day as it’s very dark outside now so more rain expected. Chicken casserole in the slow cooker for tea. Might just read a book.

    Thanks Tresinia 🤓

I have suddenly started getting random phone calls ringing 3 times then cut off before voicemail cuts in. When I block the number it changes. Then last night I got a text and a whats app at the same time with a random code for snap chat 😕 looked online before reading them and it said either someone has used my phone number by mistake or it’s a scam. It said not to open the messages. So I deleted the messages and I have blocked all unknown numbers (not in my phone book). I can see the phone calls are continuing, my phone does not ring but I can still see the attempts on my call list which have moved from Manchester to Burnley to Dudley to Bradford. They don’t leave voicemail. If my phone isn’t ringing I can ignore them

Have been watching more DS baby movies this afternoon. Not sure what to get them copied to. DVD’s will be going out of date soon. The vhs tapes will eventually disintegrate I believe so I need to make a decision soon.

Sounds like someone has sold your details SYA - we have it every time we renew anything with DVLA, (!) the scam calls start the same blumin day. I sent an email to DVLA about it as they were the only common denominator but of course they refused all knowledge. Don’t know if you shop at Mikes and Sponsor but they were hacked so wondering if it could be linked to that. Well done on blocking all unknown calls 👏🏻

im not techie but my OH is so will ask him what he suggests about the vhs tapes transfer format xx

    This is what he says

‘You can get usb converters that plug into audio and video out of VCR, I have one but not used it for ages. Also I have a camcorder I think can do it. Not tried it for ages thiough.’

there must be someone who offers such a service so you don’t need the kit to convert to USB.

Edit to add - I wish we lived closer SYA as OH would offer to do it gratis for you obv.

but I agree you need to get such precious memories future proofed asap.

Thanks Suze 😘  They are camcorder tapes that slot into a vhs tape. The camcorder was stolen when we were burgled over the millennium. I’ve got a vhs player so I got a vhs to tv lead so I can watch them on my tv but no idea if can get them put on a hard drive? I can get them copied to dvd & digital at mr T. What is digital is that a usb/ memory stick? Sorry I'm so thick it’s over my head 🤯
