Had to force myself to get out of bed this morning. Aquafit was blooming cold. Bought lots of food for DS and ate most of it today. 🤦♀️ Shared biscuits with DF this afternoon & cup of tea. Only good thing was using £6 off voucher and won another but only 60p this time. I still have bacon and eggs and tiger bread rolls if DS wants to eat when he gets here tomorrow evening or we could order a pizza. Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow. I just need to make the bed in the spare room.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Thanks Suze and dia. Sorry I didn’t explain very well, feeling low rather than feeling ill. DS arrived yesterday afternoon and lifted my spirits. We went to my DF’s and all shared a Chinese £35 from entertainment fund. DS stayed at mine overnight then we went for lunch (£47.70 from birthday/ Father’s Day pot) before he set off home. It started to rain after he left but I’m feeling ok.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Sounds like you had a lovely time with your DS. Low mood is a terrible thing, I imaging having your DS home for a short while lifted your spirits. Hugs.

Hey SYA - apologies I shouldn’t have assumed - big hugs to you. Any thoughts to what is getting you down at the moment?

After living with DS for 27 years I find it hard to be so far away sometimes. He was quite happy for me to go and I don’t think he misses me at all 😂 Was nice to see him this weekend while he was up this way working. I look forward to visiting him & his gf and the dogs again soon0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Of course it’s difficult - it’s a form of homesickness in a way don’t you think?I was the same when I moved over here age 22. For awhile it was like I was on a holiday having fun in the UK. I was utterly charmed for about 2 years and then the homesickness hit me like a wave. The fix for this (for me) is always having a plan to see loved ones - even though we cannot see them easily every day, we can make the time precious and anticipated. Even if it’s months or a year in advance. Video phone calls help as well.I reckon your DS misses you very much - he probably didn’t want to upset you by being too emotional or clingy. And it is very much to your credit that DS is leading a confident successful life - you gave him those abilities. Please keep talking on here xx - its a cliche but true - it’s ok to not always be ok- take care SYA you are precious cargo.Lancashire
