Sya. New carpet is one of life's little luxuries. That new carpet smell is divine.  And how it feels under bare feet!

Thanks Suze, Time2count, Tresinia and dia 😊

Home again after a lovely bank holiday weekend away visiting family on the east coast. Had a great time and weather was not too bad. A bbq on friday and watching b-in-law & nephew play cricket yesterday. Warm & sunny just a few showers. Rain was a bit heavier on the way home today but stopped now.

Bought pork burgers, Cajun chicken and salt and pepper chicken 3 for £10 in sisters local supermarket plus milk, salad, veg & beef for a stew £16.64.

    Payday on Friday 😁

I can't believe that today is the first day with any rain for weeks.  I am sure I live near the wettest city in England too.

Thanks Suze, dia & Tresinia 😊 I think we are all thankful for some rain badmemory.

Day of rest yesterday. I have been back to the specs shop today as I am not getting on with my new glasses. I have to go back on Monday to have a retest.

DF has been round measuring up for my new fence. Then I went to my friends for a cuppa. Tomorrow is aquafit then I will get some food as DS is coming to stay Saturday night on his way home after working further north. Am looking forward to seeing him. I am taking him out for Sunday lunch for his birthday (in a couple of weeks) and will treat DF too as Father’s Day is coming up too. We will go for carvery at local pub
