You're doing well making the equity last and sticking to your budget, while having lots of adventures.
Hopefully the neighbours will be finished soon.
Can't wait to hear what veg DF provides this year and how you incorporate it into meal planning.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Thanks MF. 😊 DF has already provided asparagus, broad beans, onions, lettuce and cucumbers. His courgettes are not producing yet due to the cold weather but he said they have lots of flowers.Sunny morning yesterday. Towels and swimsuit washed and mostly dried outside. Managed to clean about a third of the herringbone brick hard standing at the front of the house with the long handled brush loosening the moss between the brick. Just got swept up after an hour & got washing in before the rain arrived. Spent the rest of the day relaxing watched some tv and read a book. Made myself some carb free cheese crisps 😁 Just small piles of grated cheese sprinkled with garlic granules and chilli powder and melted in the oven. 😋
Today has started sunny so I am hoping to clean another 3rd of the bricks & pop to shops for washing up liquid. Chicken stew in the slow cooker for dinner later.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Good morning,
good to hear you have sunshine... we have rain here which is a good thing as far as I'm concerned - dusty fields do not help a wheezy horse!
Thank you for sharing your budget; it's really helpful to see what another solo-living person works with and how it's allocated to different pots. I am very aware that I need to curb my grocery and household spending and seeing how well you eat on your budget is inspirational.
May the sun continue to shine for you

Thanks Arrietty 😊
The sun lasted until 10am then it poured with rain. I read my book for a while then when it stopped raining I drove to asd@ for washing up liquid. They had a half leg of lamb reduced from £19 to £12 and parsnips reduced to 42p. I cut the lamb in half and roasted the bone half with parsnips, carrots, swede & butternut squash. Enough roast for lunch today and another meal for the freezer. The rest of the lamb cut into cubes, bagged & frozen. Approx 220g in each bag will make Moroccan lamb 2 portions and lamb curry x 2 portions. Also got 10 caramelised onion sausages £3.50. Cooked them in the oven & portioned up & frozen, I will count the cost out of next week’s food budget. Should only need veg & fruit and milk.Home & it’s rained again. Now the sun is out again, not sure if I will get out for a walk before it rains again. Chicken stew still cooking in my slow cooker & will be portioned up and frozen.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Great bargain with the lamb and lots of future meals
Chicken stew sounds good on a rainy day. Enjoy. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Thanks dia 😊 I couldn’t manage chicken stew after the roast lamb dinner so that’s 1 roast dinner and 3 portions of chicken stew in the freezer. 😁
Sunny morning & no wind today so DF has been down for a cuppa & sprayed the bindweed for me. I’ve done another 3rd of the herringbone hardstanding at the front of the house with the long handled wire brush & swept up the loose moss & weeds. It’s looking much better already. Back is really aching now so I’ve stopped & feet up. Am going to have some lunch & then out to friends for cuppa later.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
