Escape to the country & living off savings

Thanks dia it was a very warm day. 🥵Bought cans of cola & peach squash & filled up a bottle with water to keep cool in the fridge. I sat in the garden for a while under the parasols before lunch then retreated to the living room which was much cooler. Went for a 30 minute walk in the evening. Hopefully the pool will be nice and cool today. Am going to wash my bedding & will walk down to my friends this afternoon.Niece is coming over wed or thu so I look forward to baby cuddles 🥰0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Thanks thriftylynny 😊 Pool was lovely and cool. I must admit I got DF to get my parasols out & check there were no 8 legged creepy crawlies 😳
Cloudy but muggy yesterday. The sun didn’t make an appearance until 5pm. Enjoyed aquafit. Nice tuna salad for lunch. Walked to my friend’s house in the afternoon and had a nice cuppa in the garden. Popped in to see DF on the way back.Cloudy again this morning. I’m picking my friend up this morning and driving us to nearby small high street. It has a small b&m, pound land, gregs, post office, 2 card shops, 2 banks, a few cafe/greasy spoon, spek savers, few charity shops, butcher & baker, super drug, weather spoons. Sounds bigger than it actually is 😂
I need £20 cash to go in nephew birthday card, a couple of birthday cards (from xmas/ birthday pot), some pork scratchings and southern fried chicken gravy from b&m and we are going to get a cheap lunch in ‘spoons. I have £17.47 left in my current account for food & have transferred money for birthday card so should be plenty.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Lol dia when I look back to when I first started lurking on MSE in 2012 I was a Skint single parent.I started my first savings thread in 2017 with £500 in an emergency fund, a car loan from my parents & £50 a month entertainment fund, savings were £100 a month. DM sadly passed away in 2018 and I ended up with some debt again. However I paid it all off and paid back every penny of the parental car loan. I managed to save enough over 5 years to afford to move house, paying for surveyor and legal fees etc. DS & his gf ended up buying my house which meant there was no estate agent fees.I hope I will never be in debt again so I try to budget for everything but I try to enjoy my life with family and friends as you never know whats around the corner.Had a lovely afternoon thanks with DF & niece & great nephew 🥰0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
