That is just another useless debt collector letter that you have already been advised to ignore. It means nothing and is designed to get low-hanging fruit on the gullible tree to poop their pants and pay the scammers.3

@B789 thank you, and this is, too, my stance to the gullible recipient; if and when it does proceed to LBC, however, I may be in trouble!1

Why does anyone think they are in trouble with a parking ticket3
-
Because if it is taken to curt it is I solely that will have encouraged not paying it, and incurring a potentially far higher charge0

They are currently demanding £170.
The most they'd get in court, in the unlikely event that the PPC win, is c£200.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

All of the above! Those are all good points.
And the added £70 wouldn't be allowed because it's false and exaggerated, as exposed by the Government 5 weeks ago in the draft Impact Assessment published in readiness to complete the regulation of this rogue industry.
So the removal of the £70 'extortion' (Government description) pretty much cancels out the small court fees. If the D lost.
Which they wouldn't.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Stop worrying about court3

@Grizebeck I do try to be assuaged - dual psychological disabilities of PTSD and anxiety mean that, unfortunately, extrapolation and disaster thinking come somewhat with the territory! I will continue to try to stave off payment from the recipient of this invoice.
