@firsview this is the first time I actually got selected so quite exciting. The other times I just got the letter or went to court a couple of times not to be selected and twice I got exempt from work. But it's still a lot for a supposedly random process. Btw. they do quite nice lunches and fancy coffee etc. So saving a few pennies 😉
Bit envious of the snow and then not so much as it's to late in the year, where's spring?
I now have grey temples, luckily mousy hair so I don't look like Dr strange 🤣. DH had grey hair when I met him aged 30, very handsome. Anyway, better finish my book, about to find out who done it...DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/2510 -
Beanie, glad your wound is healing up.Today I am grateful for managing to get a huge amount done at work, for the ability to put my head down and plough on, for dh's follow up check up giving him pause for thought and making him rest, for my adorable dc, for big sis finding four! pairs of trousers for mum in the ch shops.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!11

Glad your wound is healing well @beanielou. You might need both hands to open some happy mail heading your way 😉😘
Good that you got on well at the Dr @Shrewbie, & your DH @apple_muncher.
NSD#3 (finally!)
Woke up quite refreshed. Did my Norwegian, then went & scraped the snow from the drive. It was the nice, fine stuff, so easy to move. Sprinkled some grit salt then, just in case. The drive in wasn't too bad, I had the radio on loud to sing along to, & take my mind of the roads a bit. My pupil was off today, so had a different one, but helped a member of staff quite a bit, who could hardly move due to severe back pain.
Informed at lunchtime that schools were closing early - yippee! Phoned the nearby secondary school to ask DS3 to walk down to me, & I'd take him home. Brought him into my school, as I had something to finish off. Was nice to show him where I work 😊 good to have company for the trip home, though the roads seemed a lot better to drive on.
Got coal in (had to scrape the snow off each lump), then started to hàve a nap, but was woken by a phonecall. New driving license came in the post, so that was really quick! Couldn't nod off again, so filed some paperwork. Was quite enjoying myself, so filed a huge pile of sewing/knitting patterns too. Still more to go, but the pile is half the size it was! Went in the bath with my book. DS3 chopping at the bit to see if school is closed tomorrow too, only time will tell...
Grateful for my new driving license (was able to open an account to use abroad, as didn't like my new passport), getting filing done & feeling liberated - donating old craft magazines instead of hanging on to them for Justin (case 😂), DS meeting some of my colleagues & showing him my workplace, also for getting home early & in 1 piece!

Morning turtles!
yesterday was NSD 3. Another easy work day, meditation and writing done before work, gym at lunchtime and all food from stores.
Nothing really to report except I’m grateful for having 2 weeks left until my holiday (need to dig out the summer clothes) for homemade banana cake and for my new lunchbox (how old am I?).Student loan £5655

Wednesday 8th March 2023
L Lent (whether you are religious, spiritual or just a human being) is a good time to
Live with LESS - We can all do with less sugar, salt, caffeine in our bodies, (more under M)
If we have ENOUGH we should express our gratitude (3 a day. more if possible) and share what we can afford - money or goods to ...(food bank or earthquake relief ?), spending time with an old person or a friend in need, sharing what we have, passing on our unwanted or unneeded possessions
NOTICE the world around us. Spend time with nature.
Take TIME for quiet reflection and with those we care about.
My body just reminded me that I made some poor food choices yesterday so I'm munching my way through a head of celery. I have water to drink. Unfortunately the paper cup I've been using is on the verge of disintegrating so my current challenge is how to get water out of a 10 l box (there's a plastic bag inside and a little tap thing that rests in a well on the side of the box) into my mouth, without going downstairs to hunt for a cup.
I was doing well with my little changes, need to get them back in place asap. It doesn't help that I spent part of the night lying on my right side - good for my injection site but doesn't suit me and I go wildly dizzy when I try to get up.
Gratitude I'm grateful that DS3 put the bins out. Such a little thing but it would be so difficult managing for another 3 weeks with the bins already full. So many things we take for granted. With 'there's no such thing as away' in mind, I'm making efforts to resume my zero waste journey. With everything else going on (and a mountain of products to get through) it's rather taken a back seat in recent years. Must leave a little thank you note for the bin men.
Notice the world around us I think I'm staying close to home for the next few days but the world outside my window is endlessly fascinating. My little robin has been back to see me and car park life is as full as a Breughel painting.
Take Time for quiet reflection and with those we care about. I'm doing lots of quiet reflection. I started to finish a piece of embroidery yesterday. 18 letters and numbers (putting thee baby's name and date of birth onto a little picture) and my shoulder gave me hell (grateful for ibuprofen gel - again using up mum's supplies). I carried on with the edging (it stops the work fraying) which was much smaller movements so less stressful, did 3 sides before deciding I should have left a little space around it . The fourth side looked much better so I've started unpicking and redoing the other 3 sides. Two more things to ask DS2 about (part of the process of moving stuff on).
Collecting information and working out my next steps. Today's challenge (should I choose to accept it) is to walk as far as the library (5 books to go back plus 2 that should have gone back last Friday) and if that goes well maybe venture as far as a cs with one of the bags of stuff (2 other bags for different cs are steadily growing) or the cash machine for my brother (tying off loose ends and clearing the way for the next set of tasks)11 -
Gentle hugs beanie, hope it gets better as soon as can be expected - the bruising from my blood test has just gone and I've noticed lots of scratches and bumps and no idea where they came from.10

Today will be NSD 3 and I think tomorrow we'll need a top up shop as last nights quesadillas used most of the ham, but might put it off till Friday.
DH is back tonight, is it bad that I enjoy him being away sometimes. IDK, maybe I'm not meant for a long term relationship, nothing wrong with it or him as such, just prefer being on my own. I think I just need to adapt my day better to carve out time for me better.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/259 -
