That was a lovely, positive post, Grandmanerd. I really admire the way you just get on with things no matter how difficult they may seem.
I haven't been out yet but I am feeling much, much better. Only taking the painkillers at night now and have started eating proper meals again. I've lost count of the books I've managed to read in a week. So hopefully I'm progressing.
Nothing much else happening here. Hope everyone is ok.xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.12 -
The term 'domestic housewife' implies that there's a feral version and I now have a new goal11

Evening turtles
Non-working day today but woke up at 6.20! Managed to snooze until 7 but was awake after that so got up. Dyed my hair to get that out of the way, cleaned the aquarium, did some pilates and then went to my friend's house to walk her dog. Came home, hoovered and then went to London to see a dermatologist about removing a fatty lump in my back. Only problem is, he couldn't find it (it's definitely there, I've had an mri) and I struggled, so he couldn't do anything. Paid £75 for that privilege, but what can you do. It's in the same region as where all my back pain comes from so thought it was worth a try having it removed but my plans have been scuppered!
Other than that, not much going on. I listed a bike on ebay at the weekend, and someone has messaged me asking if I'll post it... I specifically listed it as collection only, why am I going to try and wrap and post an entire bike!11 -
Grateful today for making progress on work project, for bagging NSD 3, and for a small payout from TCashback.

Today I am grateful for seeing my sister, for for a brisk walk in the woods, for finally marking some speaking tests, for exchanging informative messages with a colleague, for dc enjoying their youth group, for dh seemingly being okay after his eye op (daft bu&&er caught the bus home afterwards!!!!), for events making me realise just how to timely my resignation letter is.

Still NSD 3, but food shop done- definitely the price I would have paid a year ago for a full weekly shop but it's not enough food for a full week! The food shortfall will come from the freezer and cupboards but that stock of food will run out eventually!
Monday is always a crazy day so nothing off the never-ending to-do list has been done.

Glad you got on ok at the hospital @grandmanerd. Thanks for another inspiring post, going to send the first paragraph to DS3's GF who struggles often.
Awoke to snow & ice on our island. Thankfully I was cosy at work all day. Must've been something in the water though, cos every time I opened my mouth, I was telling a different child off! Had a nap when I got home. DH made a fire, then I sat sewing after tea. Dropped GF back home, we sang along loudly to some songs off my playlist. Did another test, still a very faint line, but getting there 😊 practiced more Norwegian, then caught up here.
Grateful for sitting in the office at lunchtime & laughing lots, singing & feeling excited about our holiday next monthUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!

Well just want to say I am grateful for google translate - as my two French exchange lads are about as good at English as I am at French. Slept a lot today and listened to a very long talk on utube.

Yes thank you @grandmanerd for the lovely post and the giggle. Glad the appointment went well.
I was in a great mood yesterday, I couldn’t believe the contrast from the previous Monday when I was poorly. Perhaps it was the fact I had a solid sleep. Anyway, it was a productive morning at work then went to docs appointment, forgot masks so had to buy some and lost my NSD (still on 2) All my blood levels were normal much to the docs surprise (I’m veggie and she couldn’t believe I wasn’t deficient in something). Then after my appointment I worked from home. Dragged myself to my aerial hoop class although I wasn’t in the mood (and never am on a Monday eve) but had fun in the end. Hands and lower back are sore today.Been pondering how to make the “vague” life plan a little less vague… I am getting there.
grateful for a good chat with people at my class, for bf cleaning the flat and for some good weather coming this weekend.Student loan £5655

Okay, if this ends up very short, it's because I'm drifting off to sleep again - woke at 5 am, stayed awake until 6 am to take my morning pills (5.57 am actually) so I could go back to sleep when I felt like it.

I wanted a perfect ending. Now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems do not rhyme, and ssome stories don't have a clear beginning, middle and end.
Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next. Delicious Ambiguity (Gilda Radner)
It takes a while to figure out who you are, what you need and want and what you don't. Up to two thirds of life is spent just figuring out these basic things. Because of the time invested in that process, the last third of your life will be ridiculously amazing. Life has only just begun. Live it to the fullest. (Doe Zantamata) (eek, I need to live to be 97 and a half gmn)
Don't let ageing get you down. It's too hard to get back up again (John Wagner)
