Best price for heating oil?

Yes for real, we have now had no fuel for 2 weeks. i have a disabled child and live in a remote village which is now in full blown winter! I was promised delivery by tuesday last week after emailing and calling non stop.. still no delivery! grrrrrrrrrrr:mad:

As was pointed out to me when I queried something similar a year or so back, when you get disgruntled customers looking to vent or get help and advice via the net, they do a search and this thread appears.

Now as more and more dissatisfied customers come across it and post to it - the higher up the ratings it goes and more and more people see it - and so it goes - lots of new members

Just to keep you all updated, go locate have now informed me they cannot deliver, blamed the supplier and told me i now have to request a refund via emial.

all done. I hope others do find this thread and dont use the company.. we are freezing here!!!

I sincerely hope you get your refund asap
is there no where near you that sells emergency drums? Here theres many a petrol forecourt that does - esp maxol - and some places even sell via the pump ( you need your own drum)

I Have same issues ordered oil, not heared anyhing so chased Golocate up, advised the supplier had let them down and I would have to pay more to get a delivery the new price was not as competitive. I have tried to make contact via email, left messages and nothing returned! My issue is that I should not have to pay anything extra, I have a contract for a £ and quantity and I have paid in full nearly 3 weeks ago now. The issue over the supplier letting them down is something they need to take up with the supplier, not the customer. The problem here in my opinion is an unregulated industry.

My advice - Don't use Golocate!

I did eventually receive a delivery of oil a month after I had placed the order. But I did also end up having to make an order elsewhere, which I obviously incurred extra costs for. Luckily I have been fortunate enough to be able to do this, however, others may be left in a situation where they just don't have the resources to do so and will need a refund asap, or they'll be left without heating.

Go Locate Fuel have had a total disregard for the welfare of its customers and I have found the company and its staff to be possibly the most inefficient, time wasting and incompetent bunch of morons I have ever had to deal with. I also know for a fact that they are following this thread as I was even quoted by one of their representatives about what I had previously written. So if either one of you are reading this, I would just like to ask how you sleep at night? I imagine you're lovely and warm, unlike the rest of the customers you've been ripping off.

I sincerely hope that anyone who has made an order through Go Locate Fuel will receive a prompt refund and therefore restore the heating back to your homes very soon. I wish you all the best of luck. I think you may need it when dealing with this !!!!less company.

Very sorry to hear about everyone's problems with Go Locate. I've just ordered 1000l of fuel from a local Wiltshire supplier - I used the boilerjuice price & another local quote to get a competitive quote from my supplier. It was a few pounds dearer but I know I can trust them to deliver - last year they delivered on a Sunday when the cold & snow had caused problems. Another winter they turned up in a couple of days when I'd run out after another big supplier had forgotten to tell me it'd be at least 2 weeks for delivery!

So they may not be the total bottom price, but their service is second to none, they are reliable, worth paying for in the end.

I hope you all get your oil soon...

I am a new user to this site and not sure if doing it ok! We are now more confused than ever after reading through all the messages. Any advice about finding a new supplier (we were with flogas) would be greatfully received

Perhaps you would be better off in the LPG thread at the top of the page as this thread is about oil
