What day did they approved your payslips / statements?inama said:FTB here purchasing a home with my husband (both employed) on a 75% LTV.
Before we put our mortgage application in I read through this forum & I assumed it would take us weeks to get approved, but it only took 5 days?!
01/06: mortgage application submitted (via a broker)
05/06: bank valuation (desktop)

Ask your broker for your mortgage ID. He 100% has it. This will allow you to track it via Natwests' sitePanicRoom123 said:
We don't have view of the tracker, it is all done by the broker. So it is hard to gauge at which step we are at. The broker assured me that he is waiting on NatWest. Might be easier to be able to look at something, rather than nothing!ohgoodgrief said:
Where on the tracker are you?PanicRoom123 said:Our application submitted via broker on 01/06 just before the last interest rate hike.
First time buyers with 90%LTV. 2 applicants, one in full time employment.
It's been 3 weeks....still waiting. Some additional questions were asked and documents provided about 2 weeks ago.
This forum has helped me stay sane but I don't see any other recent posts?
Not sure I can handle another weekend of anxiety over this...
is it at stage 1 assessment and valuation?0 -
I didn’t sleep for a fortnight I don’t think, waiting on NatWest. However our broker also said the same around how NatWest will review documents with valuation in same day or day after. Just to hopefully allay some of your worries, they are super busy and they didn’t actually do the final underwriting until four days after valuation, so although everything was fine, it was outside the timescale they hoped. They gave verbal confirmation of approval to our broker Thursday and we got the offer in writing Friday evening. Fingers crossed yours will be faster - I think ours took slightly longer due to one of us self employed.RedCannon94 said:90% FTB -

Ours took 2 months, and a very simple application. I was refreshing the tracker every 5 mins, so feel your pain.RedCannon94 said:90% FTB -

Oooft what were the service levels meant to be at the time? What was the cause for the delays?Apollo81 said:

Spoke to Natwest today. Might now take until next week for the docs to reach the underwriters which seems mental considering it’s 4/5 days according to their site.RedCannon94 said:90% FTB -

Will be a whole week after the valuation takes place potentially which seems crazy0 -
Finally this morning we've received our offer, exactly 18 working days since submission on 01/06.PanicRoom123 said:Our application submitted via broker on 01/06 just before the last interest rate hike.

Had a call yesterday morning from broker confirming that there was a hold-up (they failed to pass it onto the next level for approval). He chased and they said it would be concluded within 24 hours which was the case.
Good luck to everyone waiting. Seems 3 - 4 weeks is not that unusual.
