Application to Natwest via broker 2/3
    Valuation survey 6/3
    Approved 7/3

    Might be a record!

Congratulations 🎉 , you must be relieved. we are still waiting. Can I ask if you are self employed or employed? It takes forever when it comes to self employment
I'm employed (NHS) but was expecting some complications (recently bereaved so off sick, slightly complicated contracts, some debt) but they just took my payslips and agreed it.

So relieved - buying the house I rented with my husband so fortunately landlord was keen to sell at a reasonable price for a quick sale. The thought of trying to move given recent circumstances just filled me with absolute panic, so the security of knowing I don't have to and can stay in my home means absolutely everything.
  • 1 day turnaround. This includes Natwest raising a minor query about one of our payslips and the broker uploading our explanation.

    01/03/2023 10:30 - Application submitted by broker
    02/03/2023 16:43 - Valuation instructed
    02/02/2023 17:46 - Valuation complete
    02/03/2023 17:48 - Approved

Congratulations @RoboRhino. That was the quickest decision I ever seen on these forums

So just went on live chat to check if there was any update, and been told by the agent  that our application was currently on hold as our case had been selected for quality review, and was undergoing that process. Apparently it has added 3 working days and we should hear back on 15th March.

I have no idea how is going to impact the final decision. Just wondering if anyone else has come across this situation?
  • Thought I’d add my timeline to this thread as I found previous years timelines really helpful when trying not to overthink/panic!

09/03/23 - Full application went in and hard search carried out, valuation instructed.
10/03/23 - Questions about my payslip, valuation came back.
    13/03/23 - Offer.

I am a little worried that the offer will be less than I asked for but that’s mainly because I worry about everything.

Hope this helps to calm some nerves!
