Anyone heard anything since posting back the weirdly worded application form to NI? Partner applied day after me and received no form, but a link by text and email to go through the HooYu process.0

Just had an interesting discussion with live chat. Apparently you DID have to return ID & documents in the envelope (ORIGINAL documents at that, not photocopies). No mention of it in the letter. Apparently it’s random whether you are selected for online verification or postal. Just my luck0

Yeah I certainly won’t be sending my original ID to them in the post. I saw something on the envelope about ID but I just followed what I was told to do in the letter, which was sign the form and send it back. And I think it did say on the envelope if requested.I suspect the person on the live chat overspender22 spoke to might not have known what they were talking about and maybe just blagged an answer.4

Just got a text from my old bank account that I opted to switch from saying: we’ve accepted your request to switch to another provider’. Assuming that means my Ulster account is accepted and being opened?0

I have just received a text from Ulster stating "your current account is now open. Your welcome pack detailing the conditions and benefits of your account will be with you in the next 10 days" so looks like they have progressed mine to (which isn't to bad considering they must have only received the returned signed form yesterday or today.MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0 -
