Do you even have his financial disclosure yet?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
-
His financial disclosure is there so I have added mine.
Mine is full disclosure. His is not including the money (£21k) sitting in his account that he is intending to temporarily give back to me as it is mine.
Not sure what to do about that. I mean in terms of disclosure. I have told him that I don't want it back as it isn't mine.
But even though I know he hasn't declared it, I have no proof. Unless the judge requests to see his bank accounts. He has clearly said to me that he will tell them it is my money.0 -
In which case, you really do need to see that solicitor. Is the the money from the trading account you opened for him?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing2

Speaking of money, how much should I be expecting to pay a solicitor to check it?
His has told him that no solicitor woukd draw up such an agreement and have it signed and in front of a judge for less than £1500.0 -
As I pointed out, previous posters have paid £900 to get their agreement written up and submitted to court. But they had both agreed what they wanted to happen. They may have attended in person to answer questions, or submitted responses.
But ex doesn't want to agree, it appears. So it will cost more.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing1 -
@NornIronRose
Please get your own solicitor. Preferably one who specialises (or is knowledgeable) on Sharia Law and even better, a female solicitor at that firm.
I am not doubting your knowledge on the subject but you might be surprised with what the interpretation of certain aspects and how they change whether it's Talawq or Khula.
It might seem costly now but in the long run it will save you more than you spend.
Your husband is not putting his religion first with how he has behaved, both with you and in law British and Sharia.
Whilst 2 wrongs don't make a right, you certainly shouldn't feel obligated to receive less than you deserve and are owed (even by Sharia standards).
Everything needs to be official. CSA included. This man WILL NOT pay child support unless made to do so.
I know it's hard, especially at this exact time when tiredness and hunger are also at play, but take a step back and look at it with clear eyes.
What you do in the next weeks and months can affect you and your children for a long time.3 -

Don't get me wrong, it's HIM talking about money being temporarily mine etc. I want no part of it.0

Billy2shots, my problem is that I haven't been able to find a solicitor who is dealing with shariah law.
So I am having to deal with it as best I can, with advice given by people who know what I am entitled or not entitled to under shariah law.
Feel free to PM me please if you have any advice.

Covid has shown us that most work now can be done virtually rather than face to face. So if there’s not one near to you, the further away ones may be able to help. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
