Totally agree on the football boots - I only bought new for my yoof when he was playing regularly. My youngest (who despises anything sport related) is happy with hand me downs for the obligatory 6 weeks in PE lessons.  I'd check FB or school parents FB groups too or if you've got any friends with older kids if they have any hand me downs.

Then they brought in school uniforms for other (secondary) schools & it was a good idea because it stopped all the "we can afford logo stuff".  Everything was fine for a few years.  

Then they brought in academies & they brought in the designer priced uniforms to make sure that their new students parents could afford to pay for everything they could possibly charge for.

It just shows how much what was a really good idea can be hijacked

Yeah it has gone a bit Ott again. Pe kit is the main one at highschool. By all means have a nice top but do we really need branded pe shorts and pe pants  as well. Plain shorts for a fiver would do.  And the girls skirts need to be branded at all our local schools which I would imagine is pricy as well.
