Got my wage slip. Slightly over 200 extra which after the day I've had I deserve it. Tech was naff all day so it affected my ability to do anything then it wiped most of it and I'm not convinced anything is right now of what's left. Ah well I've logged off so no more stressing about it now. I'll have to crunch the numbers but I think I can pay off my overdraft and maybe buy a bar of chocolate or two. Big spenders are us! Will probably be 35-40 a month maybe going forwards?

One day till payday. This has felt like a long month. My accounts are at -77. So I've pulled it back a lot with a much cheaper food shop this week, less petrol etc.
TV license is due next week so the aim from tomorrow is to pay that and then restart on the usual budget and build up the pots again. Also need to do some general admin and pay school dinners wraparound care etc this weekend. I've been earning cash back again this month from chase so need to pay some more money in and out of the account to qualify again next month.  This is a reminder to myself to do it. 😂

I agree it's been a long month.  Roll on payday!

Money shuffle done but received an email this morning with our water bill. It's gone up to 97 a month. No words. Need to relook at this budget. And start getting shouty about water use. It's almost 20 pounds a month increase.

Edited to add we are not in the shocking priced area for water use just a normal ish priced place. This is quite a big jump for us.

Do you have a water meter @NeverendingDMP?  It may well be cheaper than the standard rate.  Ours increased from £23 to just over £40 a month this year.  It's a ridiculous amount every month and that's with a meter.  I dread to think how much a month it would be without a meter.

But haven't they all gone up over 20%.  They were allowed to put them up by a certain percentage over 5 years & many of them put them up by the whole lot immediately.

We’ve a meter and ours is £23 a month now - I’d look at getting one if you haven’t as that’s a huge amount for water
