joedenise said:Do you have a water meter @NeverendingDMP? It may well be cheaper than the standard rate. Ours increased from £23 to just over £40 a month this year. It's a ridiculous amount every month and that's with a meter. I dread to think how much a month it would be without a meter.Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

Have you tested for leaks? That is a lot to spend on water. We are around £35 a month for a family of 4

Our toilet cistern had a little leak but was constant trickle a few years back and that made it shoot up. A new flappy thing inside the cistern soon sorted it out and water company could see it was a leak as such and reduced the monthly amount againMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Well I don't know how much they charge hospitals for water but last time I was there the toilet was running a little all the time. When I told reception someone shot there so fast you would have thought I shouted fire. I expected a quick thanks & we'll tell maintenance type response.1

We're in an expensive area and were put on £90 pm when we got our meter installed. I'm hoping it will go down once they start getting some meter readings. It does seem a huge jump so definitely check for leaks, and otherwise ask them for justification."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Spent the evening trying to get school ready. Now need to get them all asleep. Oh I really don't miss the term time rat race of work, school, homework and house. It all begins again tomorrow...Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213
