We have some building work on the house due soon. We have money set aside but are likely to be about 500 short. In the grand scheme of things we were honestly thinking it could be a lot worse. DH has been more proactive recently and has picked up some overtime which he says he will set aside to help pay. hope it doesn't go down the pub... After the building work we expect to also need to pay a plasterer which we haven't got saved up but if we can get watertight and brickworks sorted first that will be the win. I need to have a good sit down move all the pennies about and see what we can use. Our house feels like such a money pit sometimes.
I've money in pots that will cover school shoes and uniform. Nothing saved for Xmas but that's not an emergency yet is it.. I know Martin says it happens every year so shouldn't be a suprise!Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

Enjoy your time off! Little jwil is getting to the sleeping later into the day stage. I think it's just the age. I don't mind if we're not doing anything, but I expect them to be up if we are doing something."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
