I haven't had to buy any computer equipment thankfully!  It's a bit cheeky that they expect you to buy tablets for them all.

Well done on going on housework strike, hope you get a chance to relax
The housework strike didn't work though I did sit and watch TV all day while the house destroyed itself so I got a kind of break. Eventually the kids helped with a tiny bit- ten minutes but if I'm honest they were a bit overwhelmed by then. DH told me I was being petty. Didn't help and is now on lates all week so it won't affect him if I leave it. The youngest two aren't at highschool yet but I'm planning a head this time. 😂

No official news from work but my boss rang today and told me it's not looking good. Higher up boss who would normally authorize all this stuff has brought my fixed term up for discussion three times now apparently and has been fobbed off each time. Without identifying myself too much and baring in mind political things aren't discussed on the forum I work somewhere that has a new leadership and they are rocking the boat E Musk stylee. I think/assume I will have a final answer within the next 10 days. I'm going to apply for some proper jobs now as opposed to the ones you can just send a CV too.! You never actually know if those ones are real or agencies fishing for business!

Oh that's rubbish about the job.  Hope you find something soon.

I think your DH is the last person who can talk about being petty -sorry! I'm glad you managed to sit down for a bit.

Budget rest day. I spent up this week. Managed to get some bits to wrap for Father's day out of the shopping budget but then blew most my remaining funds on a bottle of wine. It's been one of those weeks so I treated myself. The couple of pounds or so I've got left I'll either save or put to the c card. I've registered with a load of job sites and applied for two more that needed an actual application form but the deadline isn't till next week. I've got an interview next week as well but the job is only two days a week which I can't afford to live off but I will go to the interview and see how I get on

I think, in light of everything that's going on, a glass of wine (or bottle) is absolutely perfectly acceptable.

Thank you. In an ideal world I would have waited till tonight and not had any on "a school night" but felt the need! . And I didn't have it all. Though I would have if I wasn't planning to drive this morning 😂 Nearly weekend Thank goodness

Oh and we got an email about the school residential for year six. At least they are telling us about it now. £255 each -its a pgl type thing. 12 months to save/pay the balance -no pressure eh. Tbh I expected it to have gone up by more than that since their elder sibling went. And it's a right of passage in a way- they will love it.

I know decent warning for once. Just need to say the price fast as its double that/twins. They won't need anything else though except a sleeping bag (father Xmas) old clothes, a sneaky pack of sweets and a tenner spends

    Wine was definitely deserved.

    Good luck with the applications.
