My son is doing his gold - just needs to do the walking / camping bit of it  this summer, not impressed to get the bill though ! £550 - eek ! He’s not bothered about the palace but we will be going 🤣🤣🤣
That's brilliant isn't it. Well done and good luck for his walking and camping. Definitely eek to the price but it will be so good to do

DH has a date set to return to work. His job is quite physical so I'm just hoping he's recovered enough to beback. My contract is currently till the end of June but I'm hoping they will extend again. Money wise we are limping along but really need two wages coming back in. Weather is lovely and one more day then it's weekend. These bank holidays have reminded me what it was like to work part time m. I do miss it. 3 kids, homework housework and life admin is tough working a 5 day week. 😂

I agree it's hard working FT and doing everything else, it's why I like my compressed hours, though those days are hard work.  Glad DH has a date to go back and fingers crossed they extend your contract.

    Have a lovely weekend!

So DH is back at work. He's done okay but wasn't really feeling up to it today. Unsure if thats work or the lager he drank last night though 😂.

My contract is until 30th June. I've got a one to one next week so I'll see if anything is mentioned. The work is definitely there it's just if the powers that be agree for it to continue.  I'm working on the assumption that it will continue and if if doesn't I'll deal with it nearer the time.

Money wise I owe  6962. Gutted it's gone up, it includes the universal credit advance we got which is interest free but I suppose considering its my wages and benefits that have kept us going the last 3-4 months it was inevitable it would increase. ( Note for self it was 4755 pre dh sick leave)

So for records sake debts are

    Credit card A 1771
    universal credit me 438
    Credit card T 2138
    Credit card T 2615

I'm focusing on credit card A first. Is like to pay it off ideally it if not get it to the point of rinse and repeat for the food shop. It's interest free till Feb 26 so that's the goal.

Debt busting things so far this week. Used Chase card to get cash back, Tilly tally, octopoints from energy company to reduce the bill.

Seriously, you have done so well to only increase by that much with DH being off work for a few months. Don't beat yourself up about it!  Hope things get a little easier with him back now, and fingers crossed you get the extension on your contract.

Up to 3 pounds on views bank after getting a couple of surveys yesterday. It doesn't send a lot but if I log in once a week to do the opinion polls I can normally reach the cash out limit of 12 pounds two or three times a year.
One of Dh old dmp debts emailed today offering a 60% discount. Good deal but not the best timing. And I still don't feel comfortable hammering down his debts when he just keeps taking on more. I've counter offered with 70% discount just to see. Will decide after that

My DMP debts never give me offers, it's so annoying! (Not that I'm really in a position to take them).  I hope they accept the 70%.  I get the dilemma though.

What a day. DH and one child have the lurgy and have puke up everywhere. Other child had emergency apt at a local podiatrist as toenail ripped off. Third child went to school and so far so far so good. Ive been pretending to work from home throughout. Normally I work quite hard and am v busy but today I think I fulfilled the stereotype of what they portray sometimes in the news! Though I still did do a fair bit all things considered
