I added it up and it was very spendy. Food, two family meals out and two birthdays so far this month haven't helped 😂 all things that we can drawn back on in quieter months though.

For a short month, February seemed to go on for a long time!  Hopefully the improved weather will continue and it will get a bit warmer!

Did the number crunching. It's not pretty. Getting 580 this month from U Credit but we still have a shortfall even if I cut out all the savings, money we set aside for things and reduce everything down to the wire. Must remember that it is birthday season at our house though. Seven key birthdays within the space of eight weeks. Maybe the day out at half term was a bad idea 😂. Anyways Its only money. Got the rest of the year to recover haven't we. Off to have another look to see if I can reduce any areas further to create this zero budget thing the American fella does.

Well done on the survey cashout.  Good luck for this month.  How long is DH off work?

Thankyou. Maybe another couple of months so thankfully not long long term. It's not stopped his alcohol consumption though. I have a tipple but as a taste. He's still daily drinking and at the pub three or four nights a week. Unreal how far ssp stretches ... 😡 Things will ease by mid march as then birthdays start to calm down. So glad I paid the c tax over that ten months this year. When does it start again does anyone know. My d debit was set to the 30th so will I not pay again now till 30th april. Must go on council website to see ha ha

Let the council know you are now in receipt of UC as they may reduce the amount you need to pay for those months that you receive it.  I get a discount for it and they keep track of how much I get in benefits and then alter how much I owe.  Even if it is just a few pounds off it is a few pounds in your bank.
