Thanks jwil although it's off the radar till we have some cash. Cash flow is a problem here at the moment as is savings. Almost summer hols. Gonna have to make them cheap as chips. Kids wanted to buy posh chocs for teachers. I was tight and said a bar of chocolate. They deserve it but I also know a teacher would prefer kids had money at home than a pressie. And they understand how many kids I have in school lol.
I've never got into giving gifts for teachers.  I did donate to a class collection for little miss as she wanted to, but little jwil has never been bothered.  I think a nice card/note is appreciated more, or if anything, donate something for the classroom.  I don't think you are tight buying a bar of chocolate, it's consumable and will probably be enjoyed.  My teacher friends used to be overwhelmed with stuff they didn't use.  Who needs 30 x 'best teacher' novelty gifts every year for their whole career :D:D

I've seen a few friends photos of thier teacher end of term gifts. It's a lot sometimes isn't it. I settled on chocolate cos it's cheaper and if they don't want it their kids can eat it or they can swap. Will be interesting tomorrow when we arrive with a kinder egg for one teacher and a bar of chocolate for another.  Eldest didn't want to write a card says he doesn't like his teacher  (oh dear) I don't do it all the time but they asked this year and they've done well in class so I said they could

Not too much to report. I've got.my chase card up and running. The plan is to load it each Friday with the food, petrol and activities budget. Potentially also use it to spend for clothes and other things then send the money across each time I spend.
It's easy to use but I will have to get used to the format of it. I have three accounts
The main pot, one that round ups will go to and a savings pot. The round ups accrue interest at 5% (not that there will be much in that at first) and I get 1% cashback on all my spends for 12 months.
