I'm dreading secondary school, there seems to be so much to pay for!  Primary school is bad enough.

At least you've hopefully saved money for future you by buying the cleaning stuff.  I agree online shopping can be hit and miss.  I'm usually ok as long as I don't browse the special offers!
Yes it's gonna be spendy. The uniform is costly because of a jumper and a blazer but it's the pe kits that are the killer. So many different pieces of footwear and items to buy where as now it's shorts t shirts, trainers and your done!

Yep in theory buying cleaning products will reduce cost long term. If I'd have splurged on chocolate however it would be eaten before being unpacked probably in this house!

Ask on fb for football boots.  My lot only wore theirs for about 6 lessons a year before growing out of them.  They are almost new and the next person is likely to only use a few times.  We have a group of friends and we just seem to keep passing them around as the next one reaches the next size up.  Also is there a school 2nd hand shop.  Worth asking as like the football boots some is often very minimally warn as the children have a sudden growth spurt

I think I'll do that. We have a pair already from his football venture but I'm certain they will be too small now. I'll stick ours on f book as well and put it towards the pot. I've stretched out the primary uniform as we have grown a good half foot since Easter. On the parents induction they did say to buy too big and we will be lucky if it fits next summer as it's a big growth spurt year!

Just plodding on. Think it was a no spend day today. Felt like a long day!! Anyway I've found my diary. Have tried to apply for some more jobs as actually I think a change is due regardless of what happens at work but I've no computer at home and am constantly being interrupted by kids needing something so I'm not getting very far. Tomorrow is a new day!

Good luck with the job hunt.  It's always very unsettling when change is afoot.

Thanks so far I'm only managing half.completed applications before the deadline passes. DH seems to think I can run a house do the childcare work and still have time for me to maintain my m health which is flagging at the minute. No great problems just very much in need of a mental break from all the responsibility. Makes me wonder if I could even cope with another job :)

It is hard work juggling everything, I know.  Make sure you have a little time for yourself, a nice hot bath or walk around the park - no good if you make yourself ill doing everything

It is really hard to juggle everything, especially if you are taking on the majority of the work.  I hope you can find some time for yourself to recharge, it's so important.

Quite a spendy weekend. We had plans to be out both days and had lots of fun.  I knew it would cost a bit. Tried to keep it down by taking mainly own food, drinks and just bought extras when they ran out so saved a fair bit compared to what we could have spent. I need to assess the damage. Its been planned a while and the bulk of it was paid for in Jan but general spends wise on the day I think I spent what I had saved for.
We had a couple of unexpected costs last week when things broke in the house so I  am -75 in my budget. I need to see what I can pull back before payday!
Now just limping it to payday as per usual at this time of the month!!
