In theory under control.in reality gonna be a long slow journey. Ha ha
Cards were out of action for a while and balance transfer only but I fell completely off the wagon just before Xmas and debts just gone up and up. Fingers crossed they only go down from now on

85 out of 150 of this week's shopping budget sent so far rest day on friday. Some school dinners to pay for but should make it this week with some.left over.
This is mainly due to Saturday being so busy we had no time to shop and just ate croissants and snacks then frozen pizza. So unhealthy but actually fairly cheap food day and easy to eat on the go.

Tilly tallies done. Fairly low spend day yesterday. Childcare paid till next payday. Just plodding along now. Hoping to underspend this month on food and petrol so I can get the uniform fund up a bit higher.
Debts hovering just over 19k so hopefully can change signature in the next month or two!

Spendy day. Treat for kids for school reports. Got two spendy weekends lined up as well on top of eavers trip(paid) school disco, leavers party (half paid) and leavers assembly. Thanks to jwill I remembered the photo and set aside money last month so that is already done and dusted. Got the uniform list for new high school (eek)and generally am chasing my tail keeping up with it all. Work wise no set news so I suppose that's good. Any change would surely mean I got notice so I can ignore it for a while longer. Applied for a job last week but indeed said over 70 applications in the end so not expecting much.

And a positive  that happened is new high school charges less for the loan of the computer than the school we never got in. and we only have to decide whether to sign up to buy in year eight. The first choice wanted 20 a month from now. The school we got is less than a tenner a month to rent for first year but only if we wish to bring device home.
This initial monthly cost is to cover insurance which is fair enough. Other school was compulsory . In year eight we can sign up to buy for 16 pounds a month for X numbers of years. I listened in the induction evening but far too much information to remember!

It's supposed to be easier online to stick to budgets but I am not sure.  If you hadn't needed those cleaning products and been in store there would have been no flashing adverts drawing you in.  I am waiting for my shopping to be delivered now and I know that when it arrives I will be thinking, where is that I ordered and what am I making for dinner as hardly any actual food here.

I'm dreading secondary school, there seems to be so much to pay for!  Primary school is bad enough.

At least you've hopefully saved money for future you by buying the cleaning stuff.  I agree online shopping can be hit and miss.  I'm usually ok as long as I don't browse the special offers!

True. It normally helps me budget. I did need some cleaning products so I searched them but they all had a pound off so I topped up on a few.normally I'm good at chipping things off the list at the end but yesterday not so good. Hopefully it will feed us mainly for the week.
