Regarding my MP.....Coupon-mad said:I would either:
(a) complain to the BPA and your MP to lean on CEL, or
(b) sit on the letter for now and append it to your Witness Statement to support an argument for full costs for wholly unreasonable conduct.
Also, please show that to the Government as part of your response to the Public Consultation when it opens, to make the point that the added £70 unjust enrichment MUST STOP because it incentivises aggressive litigation like this, and misleading demands.
I have an appointment with him tomorrow afternoon at 3pm.
Is there anything specific and legal you think I should say to him? Or just in my own words, talk about what's been happening over the last twelve months? Harassment etc.0 -
That, yes, plus:
(a) think about what you want him to do to help you personally. Write letters? If he thinks he can't get involved tell him many MPs deal with these cases all the time for constituents (it is the most common complaint in MPs' postbags in many towns) as many MPs stated in 2018 when the Knight Bill was going through Parliament, and
(b) point him to this which is still 'withdrawn' but tell him it is about to be progressed again in a few weeks with a draft Impact Assessment, and can you count on him supporting the new Code of Practice and regulatory regime (regardless of political party because future Govts will inherit the regime):

There were a few false starts when it came to seeing my MP. But eventually my appointment with him went ahead .
I explained what was going on with CEL, and showed him all my letters, both from them and from the various debt collection agencies they've pestered me with, and he was shocked.
He said he'd never seen harassment on that scale before. I explained they were chasing me for more than one parking notice, but only one is now court heading. But again, he still says it was a shock to see the scale of the harassment. What seem to shock him even more, was the fact that a ticket was purchased, yet they still chase me so to speak.
Long story short, he said there's nothing he can do while a court case is pending. But wants me to return to see him after the outcome whatever it may be. He believes there's a code of conduct breach by CEL. He also said he would bring it up in parliament.2 -
Your MP appears to be about as much use as a chocolate fireguard......2

However it is good that he was shocked and intends to bring it up in Parliament. Sounds like you opened his eyes to the scam.
That is progress.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So far, and interestingly, I haven't heard a thing from CEL since their fake/lying letter about a CCJ . I have had a written court recognition of my defence, dated 3rd March .Coupon-mad said:However it is good that he was shocked and intends to bring it up in Parliament. That is progress.
Is it a letter from the CCBC advising you that they have received your Defence and sent a copy to the Claimant?
Or is it something else?3
