I had an acknowledgement email pretty much straight away after I sent my defence.Boat_to_Bolivia said:
Don't worry, it's up to CCBC to forward your defence. So long as you got an acknowledgment email from the court, all is well.BowieBoy333 said:
So, my defence was sent off via email. Part one complete I guess.Coupon-mad said:I think it's fine; you are making important points.
I wasn't able to send a copy to CEL though, because I simply couldn't find an email address. Do you think It matters? Or will a copy now be sent to them anyway from the court?
You can check your MCOL history in the next week or so to be sure it's been received.1 -
Nothing to worry about then. Enjoy your weekend.BowieBoy333 said:

The plot thickens.....
I've just received a letter from CEL, telling me a county court judgement has been issued against me. And I now have thirty days to pay it off or risk the CCJ staying on my files for 6 years.
I'm confused!!! Can they do that without the court hearing? Or is this just a scare tactic?0 -
What does your MCOL Claim History say?
Does it have a line like...
Your defence was received on dd/mm/yyyy

Reading back I can see that you filed a Defence on 3rd March.
I can see no mention in your thread about having filed an Acknowledgment of Service.
In my post of 7 February at 5:30PM I wrote...Did you file an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner?

It also shows that you have used the MCOL website before so you know the login details to view your MCOL Claim History.
If you can't view your Claim History, then ring the CCBC - number on your Claim Form - and ask them to confirm that a Judgment has been issued against you and why?

Everytime I log in with the twelve digit gateway number, and because I had to request a password after forgetting my own, it's just taking me round in circles. Then when I get in the money claim online page and enter the details, it just sends me back to gov.uk etc .

So you must ring the CCBC tomorrow and if they say they have allowed CEL to enter judgment (wrongly, of course) and have missed your defence, you will STAY ON THE PHONE and email them the proof it was received (auto-acknowledged).
Do not be fobbed off. DO NOT BE TOLD TO MAKE A N244 APPLICATION. This is a CCBC error if it has happened. Ask to speak to the CCBC Manager if they refuse to acknowledge their mistake. INSIST they agree to put this before a Judge to step in and set aside the Order.
...If an Order has been made.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
