Only just seen this so possibly a little too late depending....
Could I switch now & then put the required number of D/Debits on the TSB account afterwards
Or do the D/Debits need to be on the account I'm switching .... before I switch?0 -

So to answer the question then - nobody within this thread knows the answer.flaneurs_lobster said:

That'll do.
I'll leave it then rather than switch, not get the money due to guessing & then not qualify for some switch that may be in the future because I'll fall foul of some cut off date.0 -
The t&c say you need to have 2 DDs moving across from the old account (donor) to the new TSB account you are opening.B0bbyEwing said:Only just seen this so possibly a little too late depending....

That's what flaneurs_lobster sent you a link to.
Perhaps you missed it as you were in the shower?1 -
Is there a way of checking a switch is being actioned? Mine isn't for another couple of weeks so may be too early to be getting texts/letter from old bank?0

They sent me several letters along the way. One gives switching team number as:liamcov said:Is there a way of checking a switch is being actioned? Mine isn't for another couple of weeks so may be too early to be getting texts/letter from old bank?

Hmm, that's strange. I've opened their link a few times now to see if it brings up what you just said but it doesn't.MACKEM99 said:

When I open it, their link points to a post that basically says this may or may not work, that may or may not work, the other may or may not work, try it and see but nobody knows, unless you want to phone TSB (& gamble on getting a CSR who knows what they're talking about).0 -
Look at the original post on this thread and see the letter with T S B at the top. Read paragraph 2 about the switch. It states 2 DDs must move across.B0bbyEwing said:

You are making it difficult, it's not. The offer has terms & conditions, people have chosen to interpret them in different ways and have set up DDs accordingly.B0bbyEwing said:

TSB might pay out regardless of setup, or might be very strict in their interpretation. One can wait until the offer pays out (or not) around mid-April to find out or contact their CS and ask (or, indeed, both).
I've chosen to take the least liberal interpretation of the T&Cs; open doner account, set up 2 new direct debits, wait until both direct debits have paid out, initiate switch to TSB. Easier to play by the rules I find, less room for ambiguity.0 -
I phoned TSB yesterday and they stated the direct debits only need to be active and be switched over at the time of the switch. Also it is not a requirement for monies to be claimed from the direct debits by 24 March to qualify for the bonus.1
