The reason I ask is that old login and new login and app are linked to different mobile numbers. New account is current mob no.PloughmansLunch said:
Makes no difference I suppose, old account details are tied to the app but I could always bin it and re-download. My monthly saver is linked with the old account and both have a totally different sort code to the new account, so I wonder if I could use the old spend and save for a future switch without jeopardising the existing saver, as I need to keep the new spend and save til at least October for the 2nd bonus.MACKEM99 said:
On the subject of merging the accounts will you use the new login details and not the old?PloughmansLunch said:My details took 10 days to merge, and I still had to prod them. I can now see both TSB accounts in the app. If there are any (even tiny weeny) discrepancies they won't merge. I still can't see my new account inbox or new card though, and my new online login details don't show the old inbox or card so now need another couple of days for the team to look at that.

I think TSB customer service will only be able to merge the profiles once the mobile number is updated on your old accountMACKEM99 said:

Further to a previous post I made about applying for a TSB account for switching to and receiving a message about a technical error, start again, the application must have gone through. How do I know? I received an e-mail yesterday advising that because I hadn't downloaded their app. and used that to submit a facial image and a form of i/d e.g. Driving Licence in time, the application could therefore not proceed.Looks like I've thankfully dodged a flawed system.0

Certainly some odd things going. I opened my Spend and Save account on the 12th Feb and my transfer via CASS completed on the 21st. Today I get an email saying I have 2 day left to finish opening my account otherwise it will expire. I was due to go into branch tomorrow anyway so I'll see what they say.

The lady in branch couldn't make it out either. Asked if I has the debit card for the new account with me (which I had). She checked my account using this but couldn't see what had happened and just told me to ignore the email. My original application also failed the the end on the desktop but I then redid it on the app so this might have something to do with it.

Seems they've fixed whatever was broken with digital inbox over the weekend. Couldn't download pdfs on desktop or mobile app. Noticed my active DDs have come over with 0001-01-01 as the last paid date and amounts as £0.00. TSB has more bugs than a rainforest, but the £125 will help.

I suspect their IT people are so grateful that the system allows people to get money in and out more or less when required that they'll let a few iffy display dates and downloads ride rather than try to change anything.miller said:Seems they've fixed whatever was broken with digital inbox over the weekend. I think its fairly normal for switched account DDs to not have last payment details, isn't it? That would be account history, which isn't transferred. So not a bug due to TSB.miller said:Seems they've fixed whatever was broken with digital inbox over the weekend. Quite so. I'd be rather sceptical of those who profess to have switched multiple times. You are now limited to complete banking groups (eg: The NatWest Group, which includes NatWest, the Royal Bank of Scotland and Ulster Bank) so, if you have had an account with ANY one of these three banks, for which you have previously received a joining 'bonus', you are excluded for the lot. Others make you jump through several 'hoops' (TSB need you to spend 5 times per month and pay in £500 per month), others demand you having a minimum pay-in per month (usually a salary) or have a certain number of existing direct debits in place pre-switch. It is alot of work and you do need to stay on top of this. But the incentive is to remember: Banks are NOT your friends - use them then ditch them - loyalty counts for nothing.Martico said:Interesting that they seem to have cottoned onto switching tarts a bit and are offering a loyalty bonus now0
