    It's from the TopCashback requirements for cashback. There's also another requirement there I hadn't noticed before about having BACS set up as your payment method. Copied below:
    • Cashback will only be paid to members who have BACS as their registered TopCashback payment.

    • You will be eligible for the TopCashback cashback if you open a new TSB Spend & Save current account, you don’t have any other existing TSB current accounts and:
      1. Within the first 90 days of your account being open you register for Internet Banking, paperless statements and paperless correspondence
      2. Keep your account open for at least 120 days
      3. In three out of the first four calendar months after you’ve opened your account:
      (a) Pay in at least £500 each month
      (b) Make at least two debit payments out of your account each month

    Thanks for including that - I've just noticed that I also fall foul of the 'you don’t have any other existing TSB current accounts' requirement so paper statements may be the least of my worries!

    My balance from my donor account has come over today, but the donor account is not showing as closed which is a requirement of the £125 bonus. I didn't see a specific box saying "close old account" on the switching form? Maybe I just need to give it a day.

    Has anyone recently try to open a Spend & Save AC using TSB Banking Apps. I have been trying several times but when come to the screen "Thank's XXX What's your email address?" When I type my email address there is always be a message in red "The email format isn't correct". When you click continue it will not allow you to continue (get stocked in this screen)
    I have uninstalled and installed the app again and start from the scratch, the same message. I wonder how anyone else managed to open the account using their apps ? Any lead will be very much appreciated.

    why not just use the website?

    Just had a letter confirming the account will be closed, so I didn't overlook anything.

    Since both offers are advertised on the same TCB page I recon it's a safe bet yes.

    Finally had the DDs complete payment on the donor account, so TSB new account and switch requested. Waiting for TSB to figure out I already have an account with them and 'merge' the online profiles - they now acknowledge this on their application process which I didn't think used to be the case?

    I also noticed my account not being closed and I have been contacted by my 'former' bank [Halifax] but it does not say in terms my account with them is closing it just says: 

    "We have received a request from TSB to switch your current account" [so now it appears I have two accounts - both with 'active' direct debits] 

    UPDATE: the old account is now closed - so the wait from switchover is about two days not 'next day' as I expected.
