I thought Sort Your Life Out last night was quite tear-jerking! I was going to watch the Gerard Butler film Olympus has Fallen afterward, but I was tired and had an early night.
I am in for Wellness Wednesday. I just made myself a smoothie with bananas, raspberries, blackberries and spinach. It wasn't that nice as I didn't have enough frozen banana to sweeten it, but I still drank it.
I have lugged my mini trampoline downstairs and will use it for at least 5 minutes today. I think I'm going to keep it down here for a few days as I am much more likely to use it if it is set up all ready instead of propped up on it's side upstairs!
I'm not planning on going out today as I have an Amazon delivery and a Tesco delivery. I am going to stay indoors and keep warm. I will use my trampoline, try to finish the book I started (although I am losing interest so I might just delete it) and watch the film.9 -
Morning, sorry forgot to post last night.
My transformation Tuesday was decorating based. Now we have decided that we will not be emigrating I want to get the house how we want it and I would like it to be a tranquil haven that we can use to shut out the outside crazy world. So yesterday I continued with the decorating of dds room. They love the colour and I am hoping it will provide a sanctuary for them from other external upsets.
Wellness Wednesday- I have stocked up on fruit and veg this morning and am going to aim for 7 portions today (normally have 2 if I am honest) this will hopefully help contribute to the other transformation I am aiming for which is 2 and a half stone weight loss. Also going to drink more water and no tea today. Hope you all have a wonderful day 😊2024 decluttering Campaign

I'm going to research local green grocers today. I normally buy fruit and veg in whatever supermarket I'm in but disappointed in the quality and even more so, the amount of packaging. Would much prefer to buy local too so hoping I can find somewhere.
Hoping to get out for a walk at lunch time even though it's blowing a gale and wet at the moment!10 -
@helensbiggestfan I so agree re health is wealth! I was having this discussion today; I don't want to work all day every day because I want to walk the dog in the fresh air, counting my blessings. I find if all I do.is work, I slow down. If I'm not on a project where I'm paid by the hour, it means it takes me longer so loses me money. Not that finances are the be-all and end-all anyway, as we know. Love Humdinger xx9

@Nargleblast - Does your muesli have oatmeal in it? It should count for a serving of plant food also. Have multi-grain toast and you add several more. Does chocolate count? It is from a bean.8

My Transformation Tuesday bid to look at training courses was a bit fat fail. I was just too busy with work! However I've just volunteered to be our departments Learning and Development Co-ordinator so will have plenty of time going forward!
Wellness Wednesday - almost 8k steps as was in the office today and also managed a lunchtime walk. Had good food today, took breakfast and lunch from home, and DH made a chicken stir fry WITHOUT noodles or rice as the veg was more than enough.
I've just had an Epsom salts bath, face mask and used a sample of L'occitane rich face cream. Currently sat in my PJs with a Cherry candle flickering away. Just lovely.

Sounds lovely Coxy.Dfw. Transforming our home is definitely a perfect way to help us transform ourselves. When we elevate our environment we elevate our quality of life. It doesn't need to be expensive, even just something as simple as decluttering and adding plants and flowers. It was a glorious day here.....nipped to Aldi, then managed a 20 minute walk. 3rd consecutive day, walking seemed a bit easier to day. The compound effect is starting to work. The power of tiny daily habits.I also planted some bulbs, my shoulder hurts now. 😱😂.12

Thrifty Thursday
Good Morning Lovely Ladies.Well it's Thrifty Thursday already, time for a review. I have not really spent much this week. Apart from my charity shop bargains (wants not needs) I have stuck to my plan. I have started a spending diary, recording my daily spends and it really does help focus the mind. I need to review my savings and shop around for the best interest rates. Might not have time today.Other than that Frugal February is going well. Except...... My car is playing up, 🤞 it wont be an expensive fix. There's always something isn't there. 😂. And then of course there's the ongoing dental expenditure 😱 but that is planned and budgeted for, so not really part of the equation.Other than that, not much news. More deep cleaning today, hoping to make a start shampooing the carpets. One room at a time. I am aiming to get my "spring cleaning" done this month so I can then start getting out and about more. No diy and just minimal garden maintenance, just enjoy my"sabbatical summer"Have a great day y'all. And remember the elephant.........

Weenancy, you're right, I don't count the oats, fruit and nuts in the muesli so my number of plant items will be more. And chocolate comes from a bean as you say, so is a vegetable. The bean is also the fruit of the cacao plant so you could try and con everybody it's a fruit as well.
Thrifty Thursday - reflecting on this week's expenditure, I did go online and order some new perfume from The Fragrance Shop, which was discounted in price. I will also get 10% cash back through my bank. I then ordered some soy wax scented tealights, using a thank you discount code for 10% off. I can confidently say that I am embracing La Dolce Vita whilst being mindful of budgets. One life - your life - live it!13 -
My thrifty Thursday will be a no spend day.Helen I hope the shoulder is getting better .
i need to clean the windows, and hopefully have another walk, did more than expected walking yesterday ,so I am pleased with that .xxFocus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.9
