Good morning my lovely friends. .Sunday morning, coffee in bed, taking my time, bliss. It so nice to have my house back, calm and peaceful. I adore my grandchildren but, as the saying goes, its sooooo nice to be able to give them back. Ha ha.Yesterday I was truly exhausted. In the afternoon I slept for 2.1/2 hours on the sofa and last night I slept for 8 hrs straight. Feel tons better. In the evening I watched tv. My current binge watch is "Jack Ryan" with John Krasinski in the role. Very convincing. It's on Prime.Noel Gordon....now there's a blast from the past. I love Helen Bonham Carter. She pis radiant, love her quirkiness.Wednesday & Nannygladys sorry to hear you have been poorly, glad you are both feeling better. It will soon be spring. Hopefully some nice warm sunshine soon.
Love the idea of the special meals. And Nargleblast I agree we should always look for a chance to celebrate, life itself is worth celebrating.
Bluegreen..... Getting dressed up and enjoying a nice grown up meal keeps the romance alive. 💐❤️Sheila....belated Happy Birthday. 🎂💐🥂. Hope you had a lovely time. I agree, it is scary getting older. I am glad you don't feel 61. I have to confess that physically I do feel 71 but not in my head, which I think is a good thing. I figure if my brain is still young and I'm still full of ideas, hopes, dreams, ambitions and creativity then I can work on my body and perhaps reverse some of the damage caused by the stresses and traumas of the last few years. The human body is an amazing piece of kit. In the absence of serious illness or disability I believe if we give our bodies what they need we can heal and, to some extent, rejuvenate. Which is what this year is all about. I just need to be patient and put the work in. We may not be able to turn back time but I truly believe that even at 71 it's not too late for me make some serious improvements to my quality of life by getting fitter and stronger. By Christmas I intend to look and feel 10 years younger. I want to have more energy. I want to recapture my va va voom. 😂Well the anniversary was fine. I bought myself some tulips and as discussed I took it easy. I have reached a stage now where I can remember the good times and not think too much about my husbands illness. Sounds trite but his death really was for the best, he's free now. I have finally been able to let the bad memories of that time go. I am at peace and in a good place. I shall always be grateful for the 34 years we had. We had a ball. He was my best friend, my mentor and my greatest cheer leader. And, of course, I have our two boys and my two grandsons. I am blessed.Today I am going to catch up with the laundry and make a start putting the house back to rights. I have decided that because I want to have a "Frugal February" I am going to use the time to blitz the house and do an early spring clean.I am excited and raring to go.See you tomorrow, ready for "Magical Monday". ❤️16 -

Brought back memories of teatime telly many years ago!
Happy belated birthday Sheila.x7 -
We watched The Devil's Hour yesterday. A British thriller with good acting. It wasn't as scary as I read it was, but then I watch a lot of horror so maybe other people would find it more spooky.
