Welcome Dfw38 and any new posters I may have missed. The more the merrier.Well after a long afternoon nap, then falling asleep on the sofa in the evening trying to watch tv, I eventually went to bed and slept for 7 hrs straight. Those chiro sessions are definitely doing something.😉. During the last 24 hours I must have slept for at least 10 of them.Transformation Tuesday
My steps today towards my long term goal of La Dolce Vita are to get back on WW and my dentist appt. Don't much fancy the latter. 😱😂
What steps will you take today.....

Good morning everyone,
Magical Monday - I was in the office but managed a lunchtime walk in the glorious sunshine. Treated myself to a bottle of pillow mist as received a small bottle for Christmas and have never slept better. I had a nice Epsom salts bath last night as still a bit creaky from gardening on Sunday.
Transformation Tuesday - I'll be looking into training courses - not necessarily work-related!
Some lovely clothing bargains there @helensbiggestfan
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, I am hoping for a bright day again as the previous ones I have been in work.
I have washing rolling round the tub, ready to go on the line when it finishes.@Mandy
“I understand the nail thing. Having mine done is a treat to myself. I try and grab a few hours OT to cover the cost but that's not always possible. I also save any birthday money towards it. Nothing fancy, no glitter or diamantes, just plain.”
I am the opposite apart from occasionally a lovely French I veer to the glitters like a magpie! The meal at the weekend was lovely, I wore my wide leg trousers and fine knit subtle animal print top with ankle boots with a small heel. I don’t do a heel unless I’m getting a lift there and back. But I do love the way it makes you feel, I also indulged in a bit of “tuttie ” which is the same as slap but what my mum called it. I wore my raspberry teddy coat which is warm and cosy ,A touch of Jo Malone and I felt great.
Helen I am definitely in the coat collection category with you , and have tried to rein it in and declutter those I don’t wear. I am such a cold blooded person and as I do not drive I have to wear mostly warm rain proof coats . Even in summer it’s not many days that see me with out a cover up of some description.I used to have decent dark eyebrows , but they are on the way out as I get older, so I need to apply eyebrow pencil for the first time ever, even if I wear no make up, I do that before leaving the house, foundation has been reserved for outings now!! Although in summer I use a bit of fake tan on my face.
i have washed and blow dried my hair this morning and am feeling better about myself already, hope you all have a lovely day. XFocus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.10 -
I missed Magical Monday as wasn't feeling the love yesterday (think more menopausal Monday🤣🤣).
Raring to go this morning (even with WFH) so Transformation Tuesday is another step on my road to early retirement next year. I'm shuffling money around for better interest rates and writing lists (love a list!) as I go to keep me on track.11 -
I bought some hair dye to do my roots this week. It was freezing and foggy when I went out this morning but it has warmed up a bit. The window cleaner has been and gone. The windows were so grubby from the building work and they look much better now. It was nice to come back into a warm home after being outside. I did wear my charity shop faux leather biker jacket today for the first time.:)
I just read online that the Stacey Solomon show is on tonight instead of tomorrow because of the football.
I'm about to make make myself a cup of green tea to have with some chocolate on the sofa.🤩8 -
Hi, what a lovely thread this is, could I join in too please 🙂
Not sure what I can say I’ve done for transformation Tuesday 🤔 I have started reading again since new year, which went by the wayside when the kids were little (now all grown up) but I never got back in the habit unless on holiday, at the moment I’m reading Wolf hall which I got on my kindle for free, I kind of feel like I’m on holiday when I do 😆MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁7 -
Good Morning lovely ladies.Welcome Newgirly. Yes reading is great for Transformation Tuesday, it wakes up the brain, increases knowledge, gets us thinking, can Improve our creativity, can help us relax and de-stress,
Well my Transformation Tuesday went swimmingly. Dentist managed to remove my broken crown and the tooth underneath hadn't crumbled away which is usually what happens to me when a crown is removed, so the good news is the tooth can be saved. The bad news yesterdays treatment came in at £541. 😱. A small step on my way to transforming my awful teeth and getting that Hollywood smile. No dental appts next week so will gain a day. I have booked a hair appt and lunch with a friend
Wellness Wednesday. This week I have managed to walk a bit more, remembered to take my vitamins, got more sleep, reduced carbs and sugar. Now it's back to WW to shift that last stone or so.The big win is chiro. Have now had 7 treatments and am starting to see some improvement. A long way to go yet but there's definitely some positive changes going on. She says I am ready for some homework exercises now, will get those on Friday. If she says it's ok I also want to make a start this week with some Tai Chi. And of course up the walking.Health is Wealth.
And getting sick costs money. My husbands illness nearly bankrupted us. Now that I am financially stable and finally have some time, I am investing not just some money, but also time and effort into improving my health and well being.I really want to live that La Dolce Vita lifestyle and I need to be fit, strong and healthy to do so. So for now I am taking a break from house renovations and diy projects, and using the time to focus on the goal of better health and well being.🥂. To a long life, healthy, active and well lived.16 -

Helen, you are right. Concentrate on getting your state of health the best it can be, then think about everything else.
I had a lovely massage yesterday, my once a month treat. Today the fruit and veg van comes into the village so I can top up on healthy stuff. I try and get as many plant items in my meals as possible, which is not that difficult.
If I have muesli, for example, I add cinnamon, chia seeds, flax seeds, flaked almonds, blueberries and sliced banana. That is six plant items to begin with, even if it's just a teaspoonful of something.
For a main meal, I could have a stirfry or even with a conventional meal e.g. roast dinner, sausages and mash etc I could stirfry the veg. Instead of serving just cabbage and carrots, for example, I could stir fry a bit of kale, cabbage, a few sliced mushrooms, chuck in some frozen green beans and peas. That would be five plant items in a main meal. Have a fruit salad with three or four different fruits for dessert and you've upped it to nine. Add in the muesli for breakfast, never mind the five a day slogan, you've had fifteen! I have read somewhere that we should aim to eat at least 30 plant items a week. It really isn't that difficult, I have found. And your gut loves it.One life - your life - live it!15 -
Well done Nargleblast that’s a great way to add nutrients. I always want to do it but don’t always manage it, I do add seeds and nuts to yogurts.
my wellness Weds. is starting to take my iron tablets again, also walking, during coved I did so much as it was the only way to see people ,now it’s a struggle and it doesn’t help being cold and wet.I did 20 min yesterday and today I have to go to town so will be an hour.
i also need to find my mouth guard as something must be stressing my sleep as I am grinding my teeth again, and I have cracked and lost a tooth doing that.
i will look after my mental health by seeing my sister and having a chat.
I also am trying to look at my diet would ideally like to be 5/6 lb lighter and I know it’s comfort eating in winter plus less exercise.
I dip in and out of reading depending on time and I have just been given some books and read one already, mostly when I couldn’t sleep the other night but at least I was occupying my mind instead thinking random thoughts.
have a lovely day all.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.13
