My Wonderful Weekend started with a 1.5lb loss at SW today. That's 1st 7lbs I've lost now. We then picked up mum and collected DS2 from his uni halls and had a late lunch in Canterbury.
Now home and having a lemon verbena green tea that I was gifted earlier. I'm liking it!Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings10 -
Well done on the weight loss Coxy. You're putting me to shame.Super Sunday.Although to be honest I'm not feeling that super today. No real reason just tired and a bit low in spirits. Never mind, as Scarlet OHara said. "Tomorrow is another day". And let's face it I have nothing to complain about really, not when I look around and see what's happening in the world. I am warm, safe and well fed.......something that some people can only dream about. So I will just crack in, do some cleaning, and then give myself a facial later. Curl up with my book and watch a nice film, cook myself a nice steak for dinner. I am fortunate and grateful. It's grey, damp and miserable. Not especially cold but not particularly inviting outside. I will go for a walk in a few minutes, the fresh air might blow the cobwebs away and perk me up a bit.Have a lovely day, make it a "Super Sunday".12

Super Sunday.
We went out to see Puss in Boots yesterday. It was very cute. It had the most adorable dog character in it. My friend texted me about 7 last night to say he was now going out to the bar we go to in London, but I was far too tired so we just stayed in and watched TV. I had a lovely lie-in this morning. Bliss.
We are going out to see Knock at the Cabin today. I find M. Night Shyamalan's films very hit and miss so I hope it is good!
I am making dinner here first to stop eating out so much. We went to Aldi yesterday and picked up some of the plant based frozen food and some lovely roses. The roses were only £9.99 for 24! No wonder Ocado and the more expensive supermarkets are losing customers to Aldi and Lidl.7 -
Super Sunday has been spent mostly in the garden. DH and I have taken up some decking that was rotting and taken down 3 6’ x 6’ trellis. It looks a lot better out there. I also found 5 rhubarb crowns so have replanted them - looking forward to that later in the year. Now watching the rugby with a nice coffee.Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings8

Lovely weekend, yesterday went to an EH property and a lovely wooded walk in a new place today, and out to late lunch with good friend and their Christmas voucher. Delicious. I often work at weekends, so the ones off are even more special.

Magic Monday.Well here we are, another week already. Our third Magic Monday. I wonder what the week will bring.Well for starters, tomorrow I'm having a day off, getting a much needed haircut and meeting a friend for lunch. Also Having a break from dental work this week. 😁.Today I have chiro, my 8th treatment, I'm finally starting to feel the benefit, my shoulder is definitely improving. Still experiencing some weird side effects from the treatments but I guess that's only to be expected. The actual adjustments are gentle and incremental but their impact must be huge, so there's bound to be some side effects to contend with as they start to take effect. Didnt manage a walk yesterday in so will definitely walk to chiro today. The other good news is I've lost 1.6lbs this week. Wahoo. Small beer in the grand scheme of things but a nice little win.Currently dark, grey, damp and miserable, not exactly weather designed to lift the spirits, although a little sunshine is forecast for later. Had a bit of a "widow day" yesterday, felt a bit low and melancholy. On Saturday I went on a walk where I used to take my husband when he was wheelchair bound. Probably not a good idea, brought back a lot of memories. Need to look forwards not backwards.Hello artistlifestyle.. Welcome to the thread. Good to have you aboard. Glad to hear you had such a lovely day.Wednesday....those roses sound an absolute bargain. My tulips are now dying so I might pop into Aldis and treat myself to some nice roses.Flowers are Nature's Chanel.Have a lovely Magic Monday y'all. Look for and enjoy the magic moments.Onwards and upwards. ❤️12

new here
We all have “those” days Helen but it’s just part of our life adjusting. Onward and upward.
sun out here now. Dog towels washed and on the line. Off for a lovely walk after sorting why my low tyre pressure light has come on - again.
on my to do list too - gp (I may try an osteopath instead of a physio) and hearing test. Such fun5 -
My Magic Monday started with me hauling myself out of bed to go swimming. I did a deal with myself that I only had to do 20 lengths, then a big surprise as my daughter joined me and I ended up swimming 30. Before Christmas I had built up to 40 lengths, but only been once since then, so today was a real achievement.8

Magic Monday, I'll try to see it that way from now on. I'm also new here and not only that I like this philosophy, but I also really need it. My weeks tend to start in a bizarre way with the number of unexpected issues being consistently high, which in a way makes them expected at this point. So, I try to fix what needs fixing and turn the issues into anecdotes, so that I can at least entertain my friends. There's one way to make a Monday magic. Have a great day!
