            Afternoon All
Hope everyone is ok ive just speed read the thread - PP - hope you dont have to stay in.
Aussie - hmm passion killers or what!
Shouldnt really be sitting on my sofa surfing but all work and no play and all that..... will definately get up and do something when Midsummer Murders is finished.
Had good visit with Nan - her memory is getting worse though, if she asked me once what I was doing for Xmas she asked me 50 times. She was happy to see us though and was pleased with her Xmas pressies.
Went to Basildon on the way home had KFC for lunch and returned some items to next and treated myself to some new slippers, every year when I expect some for Xmas I dont get any so s**ds law will get 2 pairs this year!
Also popped to Asda and got all the bits I wanted but strangley they had sold out of pillar candles. The worst place was the bank which had queues out of the door - only 1 till open at lunchtime.
Just making DS some hot chocolate then will make dinner and finish off the wrapping. Need to write a shopping list of the fresh stuff for Xmas - can only go Saturday or Monday morning - will have a ponder about that one - think they will both be nightmares.
Hope you all have lovely evenings.0 -

Tonight its the business I am working withs christmas party so its off to Hard Rock (not very traditional:rolleyes: :rotfl: )its lovely of them to invite me but tbh I am a bit sick of eating out and would love beans on toast from room service and some telly (sorry that sounds really ungrateful

            Evening all
I'm all dressed up & ready to go out in my £5.15 outfit. The only problem is my hair, it's dripping wet, I can't find my hairdryer, so I've put my hair up in a bun.
I hope I'm warm enough, I know a few people who've been to this venue & said they were cold. There is a minibus booked for 1, but I'm driving as I can't stay awake past 11, lol.
Hope you get out quick if you have to go in to hospital PP.
Hugs Hester

Thanks for all your positive comments chaps but I've decided against TV stardom -I think I'd best go with my gut instinct which is to run away
Anyway I'd only be repeating stuff I've said on here. Actually a lot of the money-saving stuff I do can't be filmed because it's things like not buying individual juice cartons for kis' lunchboxes or not buying ready meals, packet mixes and the like. And my money saving tip for cleaning is 'don't clean so much':D 0 -
            Hi!
Hardup Hester Hope you have a great night!
dlb Hope your dd is better for her party.
I've had quite a busy day. After dropping the girls off at school I went to the sorting office (yet again) to see if there were any parcels for us as they haven't been leaving cards to tell me if they have tried to deliver them. There was a box full of xmas presents sent from my BIL so it's just as well I checked again. This is the third time it's happened and it doesn't seem to be improving. Our old postman who is now based at the sorting office said it was the new/young posties who don't bother leaving cards and just take packages back where they sit unclaimed! I'll pop down there again at the end of the week just in case there are any more packages for us.
I then did my last bit of shopping getting fruit, veg, bread etc and I've stored the veg in the shed. The freezer and the fridge are bursting at the seams and there is also stuff stored in the spare bedroom. I will be able to get milk from our local shop so I'm hoping to avoid the shops for a couple of weeks.:D
After finding places for the shopping I hoovered, dusted and mopped the house and then made 3 chicken and leek pies, We had one of them for tea with sweet potates, sprouts and cauli and we're all stuffed now!;)
It's my party day tomorrow at school with 32 three and four year olds (2 with Autism) so I've wrapped the pass-the-parcel prizes and I just need to find my party hat...wish me luck!:eek:0 -
Only just logged in and too tired to even to speed read.
Love and huge hugs to everyone.
Well today I finally put the card holders up and sorted that one. Saw the nurse for BP - too high and going back in a fortnight. Went to Gyle Centre on outskirts of Edinburgh (serious traffic and horrid roads, having to wash wipe every two or three minutes). Met DD (and latterly DSIL). DGS 1 and 2 were wee so and so's! The Centre was busy and they were having to avoid folk. Not always their fault. However, DGS2 hit a lady in Next with his PowerRanger and DD brought him out the buggy to apologise. He had a big rant at lunchtime and we had to ignore him in M&S cafe.! DGS3 about to cut teeth - we can see them in the gums and about to erupt any time now! Very red cheeked today. He was really good today!
Only one thing to buy pressie wise and then only minimal shopping - just the fresh stuff. Everything wrapped and all cards written and posted/delivered. Gusher on pavement still going on but water board are active down the street.
Very cold and frosty here. I am signing out as I think a glass in hand might be in order!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
Just a quickie for me as I"m tearing around trying to get ready. I'm up here making the bed
. Unfortunately the ferry doesn't wait.
Ruby Of course I forgive you. :A
Haribo Big backside hey. I forgive you too. :A
