OS Wednesday 19th December 2007

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 18/12/07. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning Everyone

I think we have now reached that time of year that our heads are going round that much we wake up early, or I do at least. By this time next week we will be on recovery mode:eek:

Well any building work being done before Xmas is now done. Got to fly into town this morning to get a few chores done, hopefully I will be up and off for 8 am so that I can get round before the majority arrive, which includes buying the stamps to put on the cards I have written but not posted yet:o . Want to nip into Sainsburys to get the Simpsons Movie as an extra for DS, pop into Matalan to see if there is anything worth spending the 20% off voucher on. Put DH's main present in a safe place I now have to find again:confused: It cannot be that far away can it??

DH is going to emulsion the entrance porch while I am out he promises, then we will blitz the lounge and get the tree out and get it up, that only leaves the guy to come back and bring the bit he hopes will fix the tumbler, get the weeks worth of washing washed and dried, start the mountain of ironing I already have before I start washing, and carry on with the everlasting paper mountain. Then we have to find a home for what is still in the conservatory which may involve persuading DH to put a box (or 2) in the loft (he wants to clear it out but we don't seem to find the time!). He keep saying it is full, and it is rather, but I am sure it can stand a odd box or two.

Have a good day, and ((hugs)) to all.
DG

Hi Ageando - you snuck in while I was wittering, seems we are above freezing here, think we may have cloud above us as we have been warmer for the last day or two, +4. I have an hair appointment for Friday you have just reminded me. I can imagine your OH's face, but tights do work, I resorted to them under jeans when the workmen had the doors open and it was not getting above freezing.

Morning donny-gal and everyone that follows!

Up early again this morning, oh woke me up wanting the van keys as his car wouldnt start, must be really cold outside again I've not ventured that far yet.
I watched that programme on tv last night about the man losing 30 stone - he looked fab at the end weighing in at 16 stone!!
Today is hair cut day at 11, going to the salon but a friend does it for me so I get it a little cheaper! Then I shall pop into the shops and get some more socks for oh.......today he is wearing a pair of tights to try and keep his legs warmer!! i had a rummage through to see what tights I had and asked him if he had a preference on colour!! You should have seen the look on his face.
Anyway I am going to make a cuppa and have a mooch.
I hope everyone is well and keeping warm x
My parcel was not collected yesterday so I have sent them a strinking e-mail, not too sure what to do....I waited in all day and they never showed up albeit costing me £30 and a bit of change! I can't wait in today so will call them as soon as they open"

Morning DonnyGal & Ageandjo, good morning to all who follow

Gotta go to wo*k today and face all those irritated Christmas shoppers and totally disorganised managers and supervisors. Honestly, I cannot stand it. The sooner the festive season is over, the better (for us working in retail, I actually like it outside of wo*k)....Bah humbug!! I took yesterday off - think I was falling apart at the seams albeit temporarily. My nerves aren't in especially good nick, and of course none of us are immune to stress. I'll take two paracetamol before I leave so that I have a fighting chance of avoiding a splitting headache.

Ageandjo, I used to go out with a cyclist...fittest bloke I ever met in my entire life...and he wore ladies' tights under his clothes a lot. Nothing pervy, just for warmth. Or so he told me anyway.

    Have a fabulous day everyone.

I wish......... although I might be able to as I've kept tomorrow pretty much free because of it coming

I hope it's not too bad at work for you but if the shops that I went in yesterday are anything to go by take some extra paracetamol with you to take later

    Morning, mrs mix,agendjo,snowy and donnygal!
Had a really bad night with dd, she has been ill all night, and has been sick every half hour since 11pm! So i had about 2 hours sleep in total, dd feels a little better this morning but im gutted as it is her xmas dinner at school today and she has so been looking forward to it..But have told her we have to get her well for tommorow as its her xmas party, i will be upset if she ends up missing that too!
Im so fed up with the kids being ill, ds1 was at home yesterday too, so iv got nothing done at all this week, he breaks up tommorow dinner so thats my final week `without` the kids blown out of the water, no wrapping done, not finished food shopping and now im majorly tired!
Oh well these things are sent to try us....moan over LOL.
Hope everyone else is ok? Hugs if not
    Donna
