It's Christmas time
there's no need to be afraid
at Christmas time
we let in light
and we banish shade
and in our world of plenty
we can spread a smile of joy
throw your arms around the world
at Christmas time
Morning :hello:
In my calendar today - a robin
I have the urge to bake something
Just haven't had time the past few days  Mr tru's dad is finally ready to go, some of his stuff went up yesterday with BIL, the van turned up at 5.30pm and we loaded it. His house looks very big with nothing in it, he likes to collect junk  The skip is full too lol. He's off tomorrow morning.
We were so tired when we finished yesterday that we stopped at the chippy for food on the way home, ate it, had a cuppa and fell asleep. I went to make a drink this morning and that's when I realised I'd forgotten the bread and milk so no cereal for me (the only thing I can face eating in the morning) and no toast for anyone else. I'm starving
Just enough milk for a couple of drinks each.
Off to catch up with yesterday's thread, see you later

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Morning all
Last day at work here, it will be stupidly busy I'm sure. The kids leave at 12, teachers at 1 & the admin staff leave when we've finished, which is usually 5ish.
Elona, I'd love to retrain, tho not as a teacher, I'd kill the kids, lol. Unfortunately as the main earner & with a mortgage to pay, it's just not feasible.
I made a loaf last night as my contribution to today's buffet & I think the BM must have been moved or opened as the loaf is very small & solid, Still, I'm not making anything else, it will have to do.
Hope everyone has a good day.
Hugs Hester

Morning :santa2:
Freezing again, never mind, Aussielass will be along shortly telling us how hot it is where she is
Work today, so will have to get the thermals out, think I'll take soup for lunch, it's too cold for butties
Watched Gordon Ramsay last night, he can come and rummage in my cupboards any time
Have a good day everyone, and chill if you're getting stressed about Christmas lunch. As they said on Loose Women, "it's only a Sunday roast with a few sausages" :rotfl:You're only young once, but you can be immature forever

morning all,
Hope everyone is well, severe frost the car is white. Snowy, my OH is a cyclist too, VERY FIT
, cant say he has ever worn tights under his trews, but had bought some nylon footless leggins from a walking shop, he swears by them, he is out in the cold all day.
Having said that, he is off work today, has woken up with a skinking cold, thats him and DD now, lets hope I don't get it for next week  .
I know what you all mean about too many things going through your head, I was awake half the night trying to think how to do dinner tonight, and take DD for a haircut, so I was up at 6.30 peeling spuds, and a squash and cabbage for tea. Of course, had I known OH was off I could have left it, but hey its done now.
Mrs-mix, could you shout me a coffee too
, I did not know you were that close, lets hope your sofa turns up today.
Work today, I do not finish till friday
, and dd finishes then too, which I think is too late as christmas is upon us by then, she gets her two weeks off after
Hugs to all that need them, have good days xx0
