NCP letter

If I understand it correctly, you are saying that there was no windscreen PCN and no posted NTK and the first you knew was a reminder letter. Therefore no chance to appeal. If I have that right, you need to reflect that in your wordingThe pen is mightier than the sword ..... and I have many pens.4

ThereforeBecomes something like- I am complaining about a charge I received from NCP for Gatwick Airport South Terminal Drop off. I received a reminder letter sometime between 10/01/23 and 20/01/23, whilst I was abroad. Date of alleged incident is 28/08/22. The date of the reminder letter is 15/12/22.
I’m complaining to you in regards to PCN i received from NCP for (Gatewick Airport South Terminal Drop off) , Which I received while I was away broad between 10/01/23-20/01/23. Date of incident was 28/08/22 and the date of the notice letter is 15/12/2022 107 days after.
a) No PCN sent/received (address is correct on the logbook so where was the PCN?)
(b) I wasn’t offered an appeal
a) No NTK or any other notification was received prior to this.
b) I was therefore denied any opportunity to appeal
etc etcThe pen is mightier than the sword ..... and I have many pens.4 -
What about what I said:
"end with a short conclusion, stating what you want them to do about it and by when"
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

(c) There’s no mention of £100 on the non-prominent signs
(d) Even the £5 signs are non-prominent
(e) no method to pay even if I’ve known and there’s no barrier or pay-point on site
(f) There’s no grace period nor evidence of me stopping
(g) The above is all in breach of the BPA CoP.
Can you please look into this matter and get this PCN cancelled before I get any claims made against me
I’m aware you are investigating a formal complaint REF: BPA-032489 about their set up at Gatwick Airport and their appalling signage and no method for people to actually pay before leaving if they do use the drop-off area. Please add my complaint.
Thanks for looking into it, How about now ?

I received a reminder letterI'd emphasise that this was a REMINDER letter, the first notification from NCP, they not following the BPA Code of Practice requirement to have sent a formal Notice to Keeper beforehand.Put 'REMINDER' in block and bold capitals to make sure they understand the point you are making, otherwise the differentiation might be lost on them. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

You could ask for a POPLA code to appeal it, if NCP refuse to cancel it.
I don't think I suggested you use the word "I've":
(e) no method to pay even if I’ve known and there’s no barrier or pay-point on site

"Charge escalated too soon" would do.
You have removed 'I've' from your complaint? It gives away the driver.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
