I m a recent convert to Tracker after switching over a week ago.So far so good when every day so far its been around 19 p kwh electric and 7.5 p kwh gas.

Hi SAC - how long did it take Octopus to switch you after you contacted them? I asked a few days ago but have heard nothing since, just wondered if I needed to nudge them. Also, the whole idea of being able to jump off the tracker if things go pear shaped looks less viable if there's a delay after asking them to switch.
it took me around a week but two friends have been longer than a week and only just got transferred.
Every day so far the gas has been under or on 7.5 and electric has varied between 19 p and 26 p kwh.
I don t have a smart meter and have been billed for five days on tracker after I submitted 2 reads.
They averaged out the gas at 6.85  kwh +Vat  and electric 18.46 kwh + Vat

The prices look great, I wonder would they allow one to combine gas Tracker with electricity smart tariff (such as Intelligent)?
Gas: warm air central heating, instant water heater, Octopus tracker
Electricity: 3kw south facing solar array, EV, Octopus intelligent

It took a few days for them to answer my email but they have now changed my tariff to Tracker and strangely have backdated it to the date of my last bill which was the 10th January. I must admit to being a bit scared to look at what this is costing me. It feels like a real daily gamble and I'm not usually a gambling person.

edit to add: the link was dead when I looked and it said to email. And yes gas and electric for me.

Its no gamble from the 10 th and its already saved you a tenner probably.
My recent billed 5 days on tracker saved me £8 down from total of £28 inc charge s and vat on the EPG rates  to £20 on the tracker and I am a quite low user
Who knows about the future though ? I check it every day on the Octopus app  New daily price is loaded at 12 pm .
Today   the Yorkshire rate is 7.5 kwh gas and 26 p kwh electric . I m happy with that

Apart, from the chance that prices could rise, is there  any other negative. Do you still get the Gov discount credit of £67.00?
For tracker, do you take it for gas and electric. (I'm a former Avro customer)
Sorry for the basic questions. I did try using the search button.

I have Tracker gas and Agile electric. You don't need to have both fuels on Tracker but you can if you want. £67 is paid whatever electric tariff you are on
