So you owe them £20,226? Have you offered to pay them the £20,226?
Why are you so worried about not buying from Cazoo again, there are plenty of other car dealers?
no I haven’t why should I if they’ve made a mistake (added part exchange to my order when I hadn’t had one )
I’m not worried I’m just concerned as to why it all happened3 -
Gavin83 said:I don’t believe this is a genuine thread either. There’s no way Cazoo is writing off a £20k car. Any company would ask the OP to pay and if they didn’t would take them to court where they’d easily win.For a few hundred quid they’d write it off but £20k? Not a chance.0

Grumpy_chap said:This is quite a confusing thread. It seems to be that:
- The OP ordered a car from Cazoo.
- The car was priced at £20k.
- The OP paid a small deposit plus delivery charge coming to £200.
- When the car was delivered, the delivery driver expected there to be a trade in vehicle to collect.
- The OP said, no - that is not correct, I never had a trade in.
- The OP would have been expecting to pay the balance of the £20k though.
- A phone call was made and the delivery driver left the new car (£20k).
- While the admin error was unfortunate, the OP knows that the £20k car won't be left for only £200 in full and final settlement.
- It seems as though Cazoo took the approach of trusting the customer, so left the vehicle and then went to check their paperwork and payments.
- Once the check was complete, Cazoo realised the error was in recording the trade in vehicle and that the customer had not paid the balance.
- So Cazoo asked (at some point by some means) for the balance to be paid, which should have been easy given the OP was expecting to need to pay the full price of £20k given that there was no actual trade in ever linked to the purchase.
- Instead of completing the payment of the balance by whatever means the OP thought they would do so originally, the OP instead tried to claim that the £200 paid was the full payment
- Now, the OP has the £20k car, only paid £200 and is upset that Cazoo have passed the matter to their legal team and refuse to have any contact outside of that.
- OP - expect a legal letter very soon and be ready to make the payment for the car plus any additional costs. The better approach would be to pay Cazoo in the meantime - if Cazoo won't speak with you, then write them a letter, with all the order details and a cheque in the post for the balance.

This is where it shows on the invoice I actually paid £99 and £25
there fault I guess for putting someone’s random Px on my order
Seems like it’s not a WIND-UP after all
and after phoning cazoo to pay the balance they said no we don’t want to deal with you again and the matter stays the same we don’t want to buy off you or deal with you again.0 -
