  • Christmas last year we went out for a meal, about 25 of us. Some of us have children and some don't.
The bill came and it was suggested we split the bill equally between all 25 of us. Meaning we would pay £30 for my 3 year olds £8 meal.
I was 6 months pregnant, had to squeeze into a space right at the end with my daughter and 2 other kids, it was pouring rain outside and I wasn't happy already.
I said definitely not! I'm not paying £30 when I should only be paying £8 for her! Some people were a bit surprised I said anything. Usually quiet and go with the flow.
So the bill was split based on what everyone had and some people who would have paid £90 paid £50!
So 100% pay for what you have. Otherwise some people are having a jolly good time at your expense.
