Long, long time lurker, I love the photos of everyone's makes. I hadn't been able to craft much the last couple of years, due to my back. But I had surgery earlier this year and it was very successful. So last week I decided to make a patchwork quilt for my daughters friend who is due her baby girl next week, first time older mum with high blood pressure, so they will not let her go by her due date. I have 5 large plastic crates of fabric that need to be used up, a lot I bought and more I inherited from my mother who passed away 3 years ago. Anyway here is my first make of 2023. A quilt and matching bunting, I will put the child's name on the bunting
, when I learn what she is to be called

@Pink12345, welcome. So glad your back is much better. Your quilt and bunting are beautiful. One very lucky little girl. I am looking forward to seeing more of your makes.

Love the quilt @Pink12345 so pretty and look forward to seeing more of your makes.
@Soontobeoap love the gnome and decorations. How are your craft classes going?
I had an idea today that I will put together small hampers for people as their Christmas presents and I want to try and include some nice things they like as well as some crafted practical items and I think one of them might be a bowl holder for when you take things from the microwave etc. I just need to find a good video tutorial and hope that its fairly straight forward but I think they will be a good craft to do with my Holly and teach her how to use the sewing machine etc as well. Plus hopefully I can use some of my material up as well.Newly diagnosed Type 2 diabetic - 3/2/23HB1AC 69 - 13/2/23 ____ HBA1C 46 - 4/04/2023Battling depression, diabetes, PCOS and severe social anxiety8 -
Thanks @sammy_kaye18. The craft club is going well. I have 20 on my register and 10 come on a regular basis. I think it is quite established now and hope to get more people during the winter. We had a good session on Monday making the cross stitch cards. It is keeping me busy thinking of a craft once a month that only takes 2 hours and costs around £2.00 each but I am really enjoying it.*craft stash 2023 = £108.36 spent - 80 items made/mended/finally finished.

Have you looked at the adult craft kits you can buy (like Kiwi Co makers kits)?
They're something like £30 a box but normally interesting and a bit different crafts and I've often thought that if you bought the materials in standard pack amounts it would only work out a few pound per person.
Looking at this month, their project is air dry clay to make a basic pot then macramé a hanging plant holder, but I've seen before they've done things like needle punch cushion kits and wire sculptures. Just as a source of ideas (and the video guides can be good).
