What some amazing crafts. Some of you have been really busy.
Well I am back and raring to go. Cross stitch cards and labels at craft group next week so I have done a sample to demonstrate. I thought that I had centred my rocking horse but it was way off. Added the little heart to try and distract from the fact. Still it is a good example of how to correct a problem without unpicking it all. 🤣. Will add to gift for baby boy due in November.*craft stash 2023 = £108.36 spent - 80 items made/mended/finally finished.

I refuse to accept 1992 was that long ago.
I remember 1992...
My brain hurts.
Lovely sampler though.6 -
@Florenceem I love your snowball decoration - he looks fab! I really must dig out my yarn, needles and hooks. Its one craft I will master! I will!
@old_fogey love the sampler. 1992 - I was 8 years old. How is it 31 years?!?!?! I could cry.
Well today I have decided I am having a day to myself.
My son tested positive for covid yesterday but has gone back to work today as apparently rules in wales are you do not have to isolate as long as you are feeling ok and do not have a fever. He has a headache and thats about it so he has gone back to work.
Daughter is in school.
Dad came through his spinal surgery ok and is waiting to go home now after staying in the night for observations.
Mum is on her second to last radiation therapy.
Lizard passed away yesterday so I no longer need to do the two hourly feeds, med baths etc which broke my heart a little bit because I really thought he had turned a corner.
so today is a me day. Ive drank coffee and eaten cookies this morning, has a shower, done some gardening, done some dishes and cleaned round and this afternoon I play to craft. I dont know what yet but I will do something. Thinking something fall related. Maybe. Ill look through my stash first and see whats in there.

I visited the local scrap store - my first time. They ask for a minimum donation of £5. I was the first one there today and was gathering a basket of lace for my makes. A couple of women turned up - also looking for lace - one was going to take some out of my basket! I looked for white felt and googly eyes too.

Beautiful sampler @old_fogey I've just celebrated my 31st! 🙃
Sorry to hear you are having such a rough time of it @sammy_kaye18
Nothing much new to report here. New curtains have been made but apart from the thread everything had to be bought. Can't believe it's September!7 -
Spent the day debugging fir cones and trying to make natural hearts out of forsythia branches. I wont know if they have worked until they dry out.
This little chap is a trial for craft group in the new year. He is made from a hair bobble! Quite pleased with him. He will be a good little project. 😊

@Soontobeoap it's fab, reminds me of Fozzie Bear from the Muppets but how?!😁🤔2023 Frugal Living Challenge

@RavenRover, Ha, he does. I found the idea on line. Attatch thread and then wind it around 1/3of way down band. Then sew it off. Top 3rd is head. In same way create ears. 😂. He is beginning to take shape. Create arms and legs in same way. I guess small elastic band would work too bit they would eventually perish. Sew on a key ring and stick on eyes a bow and a nose from a hole punch. Nice cheap idea and everyone will have its own little personality. 🐻.*craft stash 2023 = £108.36 spent - 80 items made/mended/finally finished.
